I can't take credit. I read it and just am passing it on. Kind of along the lines of kicking a snake along the road. The French work hard for their contempt, and should be rewarded.

Most Americans feel that France is trying to cover up their own selfish instincts with their cowardly phoney morality. There is much evidence that France has been selling Iraq banned merchandise, including materials which could be used for weapons of mass destruction. The French haven't considered anyone but themselves since Lafayette helped George Washington.

You didn't? Funny are all those troops there on vacation?

Would you prefer it was occupied by Iraq and the profits funneled into smallpox, anthrax and nukes?

And Dick Chaney wasn't elected president of Halliburton; it’s all a big dream... The rest of the world live in ignorans ...

I'm sorry are you saying Cheney is *currently* the VP ?

Greetings Karl B, FReepers, et al:

While playing in the sandbox twelve years ago, I decided to make my visit an education. Learning to speak read an write the language brought be in close contact with Middle Eastern Culture. They are a wonderful people, and I harbor no ill will for the Iraqi people.

But let there be no mistake, everyone lives in fear of Saddam Hussein. Only a fool would think otherwise.

Axis of weasel France has no stomach for a pre-emptive strike; for she is guilt ridden over her cowardly attack upon the Rainbow Warrior in Auckland Harbor.

"...But with the future Anglo-Saxon crusade against Bagdad..."

I really take exception to this french piece of dirt alluding that action in Iraq is equivalent to the Crusades. If he learned anything in school, he'd know that it was 'Muslim Aggression' that created the Crusades. Contrary to Most Leftist Historians Drivel, the Crusades to the East were in every way defensive wars. They were a direct response to Muslim aggression—an attempt to turn back or defend against Muslim conquests of Christian lands. So get that fact straight in your head, you leftist skunk. We're not trying to throw religion down anybodys throat. The fact that you think that we are, is simply asinine.Submitting an article such as this, w/out regard to the facts, appears to be consistent with your countries weak past behavior.

But they don't want to abandon their sovereignty to an other organisation than the European union

That statement alone shows just how pathetically lacking in sovereignty you are.... please rationalize your cowardice elsewhere.

"All the "finer" points of French character were displayed at Dien Bien Phu, the French troops fought bravely, but were doomed by their "leaders" ignorance, arrogance , and tacit racism."

In his book, Lt. Gen. Davidson reports that near the end of the Battle of Dien Bein Phu, "3,000 to 4,000 men out of the 10,000 man garrison had become internal deserters, the so-called 'Rats of the Nam Yum,' who did not fight, but who did devour precious non-military supplies, particularly food."

On May 7, 1954, the Viet Minh made the final push into the main camp at Dien Bien Phu. It had been a particularly bloody firefight that ended by about 1730 hours. However, at firebase Isabelle, about 2 miles south of the main camp, the defenders attempted a night break out down the Nam Yum River. Most of the garrison was cut down in the valley, but 70 men made it out to French bases in Laos.

It was the beginning of the end of the French Empire. By the time they lost Algeria in 1962 it was all but over. The French have never regained their national pride.

Please,Please tell me you're joking. That is really an unnecessary act for any country to take. Were you really serious? It's France for gods sake, I shouldn't be surprised ,right? If they're really doing this, this should be on the TV news!
