NEW YORK -- Nothing makes Democrats more frenzied than when a Hispanic or African-American goes off the reservation. Witness now the opposition that the Puerto Rican Legal Defense Fund and the usual Washington special interests are giving Miguel Estrada, the young Honduran immigrant-turned-New Yorker that President Bush has nominated to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.

One has to be an idiot to vote Democratic.
Sadly, the average American voter is about as dumb as a turkey dropping.
To: TroutStalker
Congressional Democrats have gone so far as to say that Mr. Estrada is a Hispanic "in name only."Does this nean ethnicity is no longer related to geographical or genetic ancestry and is now a behavioral and political standard? Like our first black President?

"Congressional Democrats have gone so far as to say that Mr. Estrada is a Hispanic "in name only."
Now Democrats and Liberals have assumed the responsibility of determining ethnic background.
Mr. Badillo is a Democrat, but a fair and decent one - the main reason he lost a primary race recently for Mayor of New York on the Democratic Ticket.

Schumer proves that the qualifications required to become a Democrat are the ability to lie and to have a finely honed skill of character assassination.

WHAT! A democrat is a racist? WHYYYYYYYYY, that's absurd. We all know how much they love the blacks and hispanics and how hard they work to keep them under their collective thumbs. You MUST be mistaken (she grins sarcastically)!

Mr. Badillo is a Democrat I found this: he is campaigning as a Republican candidate to be the next mayor of New York City. And this:

That's good news. Badillo is a good, decent man and god American. He came here from Puerto Rico with only the shirt on his back and rose to prominance. I believe he was chancellor of the City College of New York and straightened out their problems for them.
Badillo would certainly be a genuine Republican Mayor, unlike that liberal left-wing freak they have in office now.
Thanks for the link.

Actually, Herman Badillo ran for Mayor in 2001 as a Republican, but only got 28% to Bloomberg's 72%. There's no way he could keep up with Bloomberg's money. I don't know how conservative Badillo is, since he's a former Democratic Congressman from the Bronx (the current Bronx Congressman, Jose Serrano, is pretty much a Communist), but Badillo has *got* to be less liberal than Bloomberg.

Thank you so much for posting this! I just read it this morning...and, I'm scared.
Freepers, wake up! This is the MOST dangerous thing I've ever read that gives me insight into the danger this nation is facing. First, I would NEVER have nominated this man to serve on the appeals court for a variety of reasons which I will not detail here. Whether I think he should be on the appeals court or not is not earth-shaking and I can live with it if he makes it there. I will only say that if his MOTHER is asking Charles Schumer for a favor because SHE voted for him and Estrada was reared by her, then his loyalties are suspect.
However, far worse than that is the invective leveled against Estrada by Schumer and others who SHOULD be FOR him! That is what has me in shock! A mad scramble apparently exists behind the scenes by more than likely BOTH parties to see who can attain TOTALITARIAN control, the people be damned.
And, here we sit arguing constantly for one party or person over another and we never see it coming. The mindset in this country is going toward despotism. I see it at the lowest levels of work and in children all the way up to the leadership. When we argue and fight over whether a police officer killed a dog and how his life should be ruined because of one confusing incident, when we argue about a teacher being fired for expressing an opinion about a controversial subject, when we argue about many ridiculous, insignificant (really) things and express opinions about wanting to "crush" others who haven't even wronged us personally...we're headed toward despotism. We will have our dictator.

Mr. Badillo is a Democrat, but a fair and decent one - the main reason he lost a primary race recently for Mayor of New York on the Democratic Ticket. This is the real issue here. I read this in the Journal this a.m. and exploded out of bed to see if I could find it to posted here...checked and it was already posted. Unbelievable! EVIL people are trying to get control of this nation. Extremely evil people. One doesn't know anymore to WHICH party they belong either and I'll probably get flamed for writing that. I am reading into all of this that no moral foundation exists in this country anymore. Anyone with a moral foundation is swept aside.
If you argue for morality and the sanctity of marriage, both "liberals" and "conservatives" on this forum will tell you have no right to tell them how to live. If you argue against alcohol and tobacco because it damages the body, flamed. And, if you argue for people over animals, you should die. And, then, we wonder WHY we're getting the types of individuals in leadership that we're getting? LOL. A philosopher often quoted by my father was right..."People get the kind of government they deserve."
To: TroutStalker
Sadly, Mrs. Estrada will probably vote for Schumer AGAIN if she's a Democrat.....pitiful. So Mr. Estrada is a HINO !! LEXICON ALERT....KEYWORD ALERT!!

Mr. Badillo can NOT be a Democrat if he's a good and decent man....all the good and decent ones have turned to Republicans.

Not a racist per se...he hates anyone who might actually turn out to be good in SPITE of having been reared by a Democrat. Race is not the issue here. Homosexuality, abortion, animal rights and killing Christians eventually is the REAL issue here. Satan is behind the scenes giving marching orders.

Ah yes, Schumer. Otherwise known as Hillary Clinton's Rent Boy. He plays Igor to her Dr. Frankenstein in the Senate.

I don't know how conservative Badillo is, since he's a former Democratic Congressman from the Bronx (the current Bronx Congressman, Jose Serrano, is pretty much a Communist), If true, are not Badillo's loyalties suspect? Arrrrgh. What a mess. It's like a claymore explodes and you run...right into another claymore (i.e. technique used in Vietnam). Very dangerous political situation developing. Alert, alert!

Schumer proves that the qualifications required to become a Democrat are the ability to lie and to have a finely honed skill of character assassination. Oh, this is war, Larry, WAH!
The Character Assassination Dumbocrap party has done not much else but character assassination since (at least) the days of Robert Bork's nomination.
I would say they should be ashamed of themselves, but the slimey slugs have never developed a sense of shame.
Witness none other than Edward M Kennedy, who ought to have hidden his face in shame and never appeared again in polite society after his stint at Submarine Commanding at Chappaquidick. But no, he only saw Mary Jo's death in his Rocket 88 Submarine as a removable obstacle in his quest for the presidensity.

Thank you and I'm going to bump this to hopefully get it read this morning. If Freepers can't see what is developing, better read again. This is truly frightening. It would analagous to someone at church throwing someone out of church because they advocated three songs, a prayer, and a song before the lesson because we've not done it that way before.

Bump it again. Bump it all day.

"EVIL people are trying to get control of this nation. Extremely evil people. One doesn't know anymore to WHICH party they belong either.."
I'll go along with that, although, generally, the Republicans have more guys in white hats, and most Democraps have guys in black hats.
"If you argue for morality and the sanctity of marriage, both "liberals" and "conservatives" on this forum will tell you have no right to tell them how to live. If you argue against alcohol and tobacco because it damages the body, flamed. And, if you argue for people over animals, you should die. "
I can't see how anybody can argue against morality and the sanctity of marriage - look around us. 40 years of the "Playboy Philosophy" (speak of Evil People - Hugh Hefner, a pre-Anti-Christ!!) have resulted in massive illegitacy rates, a horrific new veneral disease of pandemic magnitude, the resurgence of old forms of V.D., an overwhelming social service burden wrought by parentless children, etc., etc.
(We allow Liberals in this forum?? That policy should be changed. Listening to a liberal speak is sort of like tuning into your radio and getting massive static discharges - kind of weakens your brain.)
Its O.K. to argue against alcohol and tobacco, but I wouldn't ban them. A lot of people can drink alcohol without becoming addicts, and some people can smoke dozens of cigarettes a day and live into their 90's and never get cancer. I will admit tobacco smoking is a vile, smelly habit and people who smoke are playing Russian roulette.
But you are entitled to your opinin and shouldn't be "flamed" for it. If you are, well, flame back.
I just got done reading a Biography of Sgt. York, a great Chrisitan, a great American, and a war hero. His favorite biblical quote was "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people" Proverbs 14:34. (King James Version - none of that feelgood new edition drivel for me.)
I was looking at a picture of a revolutionary war rifle the other day. The patchbox had "I WAS FREEBORN ACTS 22 28"
inscribed on the side of it.
America has been shanghaied by the lie that "separation of church and state" and "establishment of religion" means there is no place for morality or God in public life. Our founing fathers and even more recent generations of heros knew better.

Except that Timothy McVeigh was a registered Republican.
