Nope, Canada was as independent from Britain as the USA was in 1939. See the 1926 Balfour Declaration and 1931 Statute of Westminster for details.

Big difference! The U.S. isn't using or planning to use ours.

And we've done more to destroy ours than any country on the planet. Ours was a cold war deterrent.

I mean, if we were anything like Iraq (Canadians are too stupid to know the difference - they are just ticked their currency is only 67 cents on our dollar and can only vacation in Mexico cheaply) we'd have gassed the Mexicans and taken their oil years ago.
