Humans are so sick sometimes

I had told my hubby that I had hoped we would've been able to take our vacation when the Columbia took off or when it landed. If I was at the Cape today waiting for the landing, I would've been destroyed.

It has already been taken off Ebay. I had already thought about that possibility, and I said to someone if that happens, I hope they are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It's like selling parts of a coffin.

We are about 40 minutes south of KSC. This is going to hit our area terribly.

Fox has significantly enhanced the video. At the large magnification they are using it is truely horrific, you can see dozens of pieces being shed, multiple explosions, pieces burning up and disapearing. Just horrible.

Oh my, they are showing a spot of smoking debris on Fox....

Weird. I was just getting on-line to ask when the first shuttle debris would appear on E-bay. Sick f--ks!

I hope the families of the astronauts aren't watching. For them, it'd be like seeing the WTC collapse.

Statistically, 120 americans were killed in auto accidents yesterday, with 120 more today. Most of them weren't even doing anything out of the ordinary (the remainder were drinking).

In the space shuttle program, they are pushing technology to it's limit, which means there WILL be fatalities.

Who deserves our mourning the most, the 120 or the seven?

Oh, I know the kids are going to be affected by their visit to the KSC. But then, I was, too, even without this happening. I'm old enough to remember the Apollo fire and the Challenger disaster.

Oh, while looking for info on the Apollo fire, I found this quote from Gus Grissom:
