I was thinking that yesterday, as we waited several times when the President's appearance seemed to be "pushed back."
Reagan's speech after Challenger was SO moving that, if I'm W., I demand that my words carry similar weight.
I imagine he contacted Peggy Noonan and others, and probably needed to consult his pastor in order to find a passage from the Book that would soothe the nation.
I think he got it just about right, although I can visualize a large percentage of our fellow citizens recoiling in horror from the Word. Let them twist in the cruel winds of their faithlessness...
