CPAC this year was a great success for FReeperdom! We managed to get many great interviews for FRN Radio, and we got to meet loads of conservatives. A refreshing change from last year was that instead of people walking up and whispering in your ear, "Hey, I lurk. Don't tell anyone". This year, FReeRepublic.com was known by virtually everyone that stopped by the booth. People stopped whispering about their addiction, they were proud of knowing about, and being a participant in such a great forum.

It was a huge surprise to have Registered show up at an event. He is wonderful in person, and funny too!

The loss of the Columbia was a shock to everyone at CPAC. The hotel TVs were on all day with the coverage.

McCauliffe WAS there - and at the FreeRepublic Network booth too where someone took a photo. Whoever has this gem, please post it. McAwful was crashing our party (he was NOT wearing a CPAC admissions badge) and letting everyone know it by boldly (as in "being an ass") going around to EVERY booth in the display area and introducing himself shaking hands.

When he came by the DC Chapter booth, Angelwood asked him about his Global Crossing stock and we thanked him for doing such a good job for us last November. He wouldn't accept a "Member of Liberal LeftWing" membership card (signed by Hildabeast and Jane Fonda) or "Never trust a Democrat with National Security" button that were available at our table. If it weren't for the minions in his entourage, he'd have been wearing a "kick me" sign.
