The daughter of Michael J Smith from Challanger is talking live on FOX right now. She is crying and breaking up but her pride is incredible. She was 8 when her father died and there were a total of 12 children who lost their parent from Challanger in 86.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this - but I'm glad I'm at the office today. This is such an emotional time and when I watched and listened to the President's comments Saturday, I couldn't stop the tears. I'm sure today's comments will be even more heart wrenching.

Thanks for the ping and the thread, Howlin.

Did you see that little boy holding the sign that said, "GOD BLESS YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH"? Really nice.

I hate CNN but I want the best coverage for this.

Same here. If anyone knows a better station for this important memorial, please post it for the rest of us.

I'm here, too, watching it on Fox - I'm already crying - listening to one of the daughters of one of the Challenger astronauts.

I get so choked up with these type of events---

Telling the others - to keep on doing what you did as families. They are not really gone - they are in our hearts.

Re: the future of space travel - human kind cannot understand unless the feel and touch something. A machine can't do it (I guess robots) The beauty of space can't be seen from pictures. The dream should live on. You keep going. Oh, she's wonderful

She is a lovely young lady. She can be a great support to the children of the Columbia astronauts.
