Just occured to me...Did Glick not LOOK (in all his smugness) like he was trying to resemble Adam Sandler?

Maybe he was giving the look in hopes of being discovered by some director or producer??? With all the liberals in Hollywood perhaps he felt one of them might take pity on him in his loss, with his Sadler looks and give him a shot in the business. I wonder what his mother thinks of his stance? Glick tried to say that others who lost loved ones on 9/11 agreed with him but O'Reilly shot that down saying it was untrue or the "others" would have signed the petition with him but did not. I can't help but wonder if his mother is also appauled or wouldn't she, perhaps have appeared with her son on the show if she is in agreement?

Just my rambling thoughts....

Is it possible to get the actual transcript from that O'Reilly show? I have to think it was a slip of the tongue by the activist.

.....less mature people, who lose a loved one have a great need to blame someone and the liberal leftist seized the opportunity to influence a hurting young mind who may have already had sympathies to the left to begin with.

Well, WomanofStandard, to your credit you have given young Glick the benefit of the doubt.

I might also, if it were not for his turning his smirk backward toward the camera at the end of the segment. That smartass action, coupled with his acting like a horse's rear end throughout the segment, cause my feelings to be not so charitable.

i wonder how the liberal media/columnist will cover this. do you think bill is in trouble?

He will definitely be attacked. While I felt just as disgusted as Bill did and wanted to smack the guy myself, I feel if Bill could have held back just a bit he would save himself from being labelled as a hothead who won't let anyone who does not share his view, or who does not like the current administration speak their mind. Also, the very fact that it was a kid who lost his dad in such a terrible way will bring them down on him.

I did admire that he stopped himself and showed respect for the deceased dad. I don't blame Bill for what he felt, I do think he could have been a bit more professional. In fact letting the kid get out full statements and then shooting them down would have gotten him (Bill)further and perhaps allowed the kid enough rope to hang himself with the audience.

I noticed the bio you linked here mentions the deceased's wife and daughter but no mention of a son. Interesting....

From the "Not in Our Name website" O'Reilly transcript.

snip

SOLAY: There are family members from September 11 who had signed...

O'REILLY: Nobody signed this from September 11.

SOLAY: Jeremy Glick, who lost his father in September 11, has signed this statement. As well as a group called a Peaceful Tomorrow.

O'REILLY: We'll get that guy Jeremy Glick on tomorrow if that's the case. I'm not sure it is the case.

snip

I guess the kid's name was Jeremy or it was a slip of the tongue.

I sometimes introduce my spouse as "this is my present husband". LOL It keeps him on his toes.

My My My...you have a long memory. I can't remember what I had for breakfast.

I have to confess...I have a lot of these shows on my 9" RCA beside the puter but I can't post and watch TV at the same time.

Thanks for the link. Looks like a repetition of the other petition. Don't know what they think they are going to accomplish. We are going to war whether they like it or not. No one likes it, but some are smart enough to know the need for it.

There's a value in having them on...To expose what they're all about and that cancers like them exist in our society.

What needs to be done is for O'Reilly and Hannity to end the interview with a smile and ask two 6'5"-260 pound guys named Vinnie and Moe (wearing brass "finger jewelry") to "escort them out the backdoor by the dumpster."

I understand completely. I am not saying I expect a change of heart in him, but I also am one not to give up hope on many who are misguided in their youth while in pain of loss. If he is full of too much pride, he likely will never show a change of heart even if the doubts of his current actions nag him later on. But, if he has any humility when he ages some, he may just let his guard down. I think his wiseass, smug attitude is just an indication of how desperate he is to have figured out blame and cling to it. I can't know his heart, no one can. I can only pray it changes and he wises up. I have seem more arrogant jackasses than he have changes of heart, though most have not been in the public eye.
