[history]
A move is under way to oust California Gov. Gray Davis and hold a special election this summer that, if successful, would change the face of the 2004 electoral map.
The recall of Mr. Davis, a Democrat who was elected in November to a second term as governor of the nation's largest state, is being spearheaded by People's Advocacy. The nonprofit group is headed by Sacramento anti-tax activist Ted Costa, who claims credit for 12 successful state ballot initiatives.

GREAT, kick the bum out.
He grew state government by 40% in just 4 years and stopped the activation of Prop 187 by his non-action in defending it against normal challenges in court.
If we get a conservative with most of a brain and at least half a spine, the budget can balance and go in the black quickly by just taking 187 back to court and getting it active.
When illegals and their illegal children, who come here in the millions over the last few years can't get the free-bees, they will likely not run here any more.
$5000-$50,000 for education EACH. The $50,000 is for a handicapped child.
Take those numbers time a few hundred thousand and you see a large amount of savings in the billions yearly.
Why the hell should California Americans not get their needs met and taxed to death because we are paying for another nation's illegal aliens here?
Also 1/3 of our prisons are illegal aliens who have committed violent crime from what I have read.
Get them the F out of our Federal and State treasury. Maybe we can also teach that to the Democrat voters as well who habitually have their hands out for cash in exchange for their vote.

No way.
The people of California voted for the Democrat of their choice and should have to live with him for 4 years. The only reason that they want an election is so that a different Democrat can be chosen. Give them the full 4 years so that the choice of a different political party can become really apparent.

He should have been recalled in his first term when he dropped the legal duties to defend Prop 187 and again when the Energy Crisis struck.
Better late than never!!

Actually, I sort of predicted Gray Davis was going to be even more unpopular after he won the election. I still don't understand why he wanted this job so much? The satisfaction of a job well done?
There is something wrong when a politician wants the job too much. See: Al Gore.

Give them the full 4 years so that the choice of a different political party can become really apparent. Ever consider that the State might not survive it?

Just a lot of buying of the vote by Davis and the Democrat legislature.

How can we help with the petitions ?
To: kattracks
Group
Arnold Schwarzenegger (who has never been elected to even school board member), against a sitting U.S. Senator, Dianne Feinstein.
My only question is how much $$ is Feinstein donating to the recall drive? Gotta be a lot (or is it alot?) How many Presidents are elected from the Senate vs. elected from a Governorship?
Wow. Want a nightmare??? Clinton/Feinstein in 04.
If this recall happens and is successful, the Pubs better get serious about a candidate for this State.
