I have a friend who worked in the Reagan White House as a special assistant. She also shares the same birth date....2/6 (but not the year) as the Gipper! She has cherished memories of that special time!

She sent me this wonderful website on Ronald Reagan:

My favorite photo of Ronald Reagan is one I got from the Reagan Library. It is of Reagan and the Pope facing each other and shaking each others hands. They were meeting each other for the first time. It was at that meeting where Reagan asked JPII if it was posssible to get rid of communism in Eastern Europe. The Pope replied that it was possible in "in our lifetime". I have it framed and in my office.

Dear Mrs. Reagan,

I know that the President won't be able to hear our good wishes. He is beloved by many. I would like to think, that inside of his illness, he is comforted by the fact....he did the right thing, and the strength of his will. and conviction.... carry on.
