You have my sympathy. I live and work in a Marxist California county--in social services, no less. I keep a pretty low profile. Do work, futilely, for the Republican Party, but in the work environment am careful. They're not though. Many folks I come in contact with have insulting anti-Bush cartoons and things in their offices--grrrr!

Hang in there! BTW, I work indirectly with CPS... AND I refer my clients to stuff like CPS Watch. I just decided one day... to hell with it. The stuff I was seeing was just WRONG. I may never have that top job... I may even loose my job... but I will never compromise my values. I hope, from the bottom of my heart, you understand that I am not trying to pressure you... I am trying to encourage you. HEY--- that constant drip, drip, drip can be every bit as effective as those big splashes!! Hang in there!! OH... and that Florida event I went to... I spent alot of my time sitting on the steps with the women with babies and elderly because I was just too overwhelmed. Hubby was front line, screaming his bloody head off. Point being--- I was hardly a comando!! BUT, I am proud of each and every step I have taken!!
