The Surah and Ayat for 14:23 is:

And those who have Believed and done righteous deeds will be admitted into Gardens, flow underneath them rivers, dwellers therein under permission of their Nourisher-Sustainer. Their Greeting therein (will be) Salâm.

Hajj will begin Feb 11 to Feb 13...this year of Hajj is in the year of 1423....we know the terrorists enjoy symbolism...could 1423 become 14th day of Feb maybe at 3am or pm or possibly the 3 is for 2003? I have also found other stuff related to 1423...a passage from the Quran and from Proverbs.

WE ALL KNOW that 2/14/03 will be the final day...UN will make its decision and the USA will move forward with or without their approval...

Proverbs 14:23, which says 'living by God's principles promotes a nation to greatness, violating those principles brings a nation to shame.'"

How can they get any serious work done in the Mideast w/ all that time off? What if the Islamic members of the USA wanted these days and added the existing holidays-Christian, etc.

Islam is a clever religion which appears geared towards upsetting any rival secular government. It is religion which carries a subliminal subtext:..militance in the face of modernity, science and secular government.

As I recall every Islamic country except possibly for Turkey which happens to be the only democracy...is a third world country that are STILL fascinated with in-door plumbing. No coincidence they don't need days to produce...they are and have been leeches of knowledge and produce nothing.

The first 10 days of Zul Hijjah: why they matter

Even for those not performing the pilgrimage, Hajj, the first ten days of this month are considered very sacred and a time for increased reflection, seeking Allah's forgiveness, doing good and various other forms of worship.

Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) has said about the first ten days of Zul Hijjah: There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah?" He said, "Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing (Bukhari).

So sacred are the first ten days of Zul Hijjah that Allah swears an oath by them when He says in the Quran: "By the dawn; by the ten nights" [al-Fajr 89:1-2]. Swearing an oath by something indicates its importance and great benefit.

OK....so when you look at the Calendar above...you will see the first ten days in what we know as February...the FIRST day of the 10 days is marked with the ZH.

Actually Hajj is a very social gathering...very Mardi Gras like...many people get togther estimates this year 1.5 million...therefore you will see alot of activity...but look at the calendar...BTW NYC will celebrate the Eid on Feb 12 2003 here in the USA. Remember have to account for dateline day change...so they are always a day ahead of us...

Look at February 11th on that calendar. Note that it is sandwiched between those two 'green' calendar days, and reads 11 9, or 9 11, if the Muslim day is read first. That is, it's the 9th day of their [12th] month, which is the 11th day of the Gregorian month February.

Tick tock?

Regarding Muslims and symbolism, though; I keep hearing that they are into this symbolism thing but I can't recall anything they did being symbolic, as far as dates and times, etc. Can anyone refresh my memory?

Here's a link if you want to see for yourself:

http://www.usps.com/news/2002/philatelic/sr02_052.htm

Dear Fellow Patriotic Americans,

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of PanAm Flight 103,
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993,
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine Barracks in Lebanon,
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the military Barracks in Saudi Arabia,
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the American Embassies in Africa,
REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the USS COLE.
REMEMBER the MUSLIM attack on the World Trade Center on 9/11/01.
REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks.

Now the United States Postal Service REMEMBERS and HONORS the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a commemorative first class holiday postage stamp.

I strongly urge you to REMEMBER to adamantly and vocally BOYCOTT this stamp when purchasing your holiday stamps at the post office. To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors. I also strongly urge you to pass this along to every Patriotic AMERICAN you know, whether by email or otherwise.

Origins:   The 37-cent Eid postage stamp, as noted in the United States Postal Service (USPS) press release cited above, is an October 2002 reissue of a first-class stamp introduced (at the then-current 34-cent rate) in September 2001, just ten days before the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.

As the USPS describes the stamp:

The Eid stamp commemorates the two most important festivals -- or eids -- in the Islamic calendar: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. On these days, Muslims wish each other "Eid mubarak," the phrase featured in Islamic calligraphy on the stamp. "Eid mubarak" translates literally as "blessed festival," and can be paraphrased as "May your religious holiday be blessed." This phrase can be applied to both Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
The word "eid" is roughly equivalent to the English word "celebration" or "festival." The three-day Eid al-Fitr celebrates the end of the month-long fasting of Ramadan; the three-day Eid al-Adha EID stamp commemorates the willingness of the Prophet Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael in response to God's command, and it marks the end of Hajj, the annual Muslim pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca. In both 2001 and 2002 (by the Gregorian calendar) Eid al-Fitr fell in December, so the USPS issued the Eid stamp to coincide with other entries in their "Holiday Celebrations" series which commemorate holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa) occurring around the same time of year.

The Eid stamp is not a "semi-postal" issue sold for a price higher than the first-class postage rate in order to raise money for a particular cause (as the breast cancer stamp is), and all the revenues from the stamp's sales go to the USPS. In no way will buying this stamp help to fund terrorists (unless they're working for the USPS), so boycotting the Eid stamp is purely a symbolic act.

Should we boycott a stamp commemorating Islamic holidays as "a slap in the face to all those Americans who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors" because some Muslims have perpetrated attacks against Americans, even though not all Muslims are terrorists (or support terrorism, or despise the USA), and America itself is home to millions of Muslims? The President of the United States apparently doesn't think so, as President Bush has extended greetings, issued messages, and participated in commemorations of both Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha (even after the September 11 attacks), and the White House web site promotes the Eid stamp as well. If it's appropriate for the President to honor these holidays, it ought to be appropriate for the United States Postal Service and the American public as well. If it's not appropriate for the President to honor these holidays, then Americans should be expressing their dissatisfaction through actions a little stronger than merely boycotting a postage stamp.

All of their months are 30 days. The "??" is the 30th day of that month. Don't know if the eclipses are anything special in the calendar, besides days they can't see the moon phase. Don't think there is any "leap year" feature; that is why their days rotate around the seasons, since they never make up the five days lost per year.

They have a lunar year system..you know how they worship a sliver of the moon...well their calendar is based on the sighting of that sliver...their calendar like most Islamic things is half assed and really quite useless...BUT the dates of Hajj...and the Year of this Hajj which is 1423 and will end on March 4th (as we know it)...is a tad interesting.

1423 could very well be 14/Feb/2003 duel purpose day?

I am running terrorism dates for past known attacks and how they may have correlated to past AH calendars. Might be interesting.

They do a leap year system...like 2,5,7,10 etc....really weird...
