Funny part is...that the announcements have been out there for several months.
Senator Bill Frist released a list for a home survival kit last year...it is just no one paid any attention! When I asked some family or friends about masks( like the spray painting or allergy ones ) they all laughed! I wonder if they are laughing today?
I have family in Defense Contracting field. They have had many internal memos about preparedness.

I agree, I'm trying to be prepared, and also trying to prepare my extended family. Most are not taking this seriously but I have one guess as to who will be knocking on my door.

I 'spect that depends on what kind of attack it is. If they hit us like they are sayin, then, listen locally to what part of which thing is comin near you. If nukes, the basement, or anything underground is best. Chemical, go away from the source. Bio's, seal up, stay away from people and the area affected at the moment, and plan on stayin away from crowds, etc. Sorta like the flu instructions only more so. I know that sounds simple, but it really is when you think about it. What you don't want to do, is let fear take over and rob your commonsense. That's what an exercise like this will help you do.

Yeah yeah, I'll just snuggle up with my honey and my bunnies, and I'll be fine. Thank you for the advice.

"I agree, I'm trying to be prepared, and also trying to prepare my extended family. Most are not taking this seriously but I have one guess as to who will be knocking on my door." Yup. I'm not worried about being attacked here. My major concern is what other people will do. We're primed in this country for a panic. I just want to be prepared for that.

Bud, what you think they gonna try to do?
To: Experiment 6-2-6
Hi, this is not related to this topic, but in Mich. and maybe all over, 626 is fleeing and alluding a police officer. It is also the name of a local sportbike stunt group in Mich. You might have known this, if so ignore this post. :-)

I remember the morning of 9/11 a customer came in where I was working and saw me crying. She asked what was wrong, and I told her the Towers had been hit. She asked if "those were in Europe."(moron) I told her they were in New York and she ran out in a panic to pick up her kids from school.

"Bud, what you think they gonna try to do?" Don't know. Blow up a gas line or a big railroad bridge? If they had gas/bio, they probably would have already used it. No doubt they're looking for all kind of bad things to do and may succeed in some...anything they do will be suicide though.

"I remember the morning of 9/11 a customer came in where I was working and saw me crying. " I was sitting here on FR, drinking coffee and watching Fox News. Months later, someone sent me a FReep mail and said that they had read all the posts on all the threads on FR and had decided that I was the first on FR to call it a terrorist attack. Man O Man....
Good night all.

Thanks, don't have a clue, but when under threat of attack, defcon levels used to come into play... anyone?

I don't think the public has been very well educated for this situation LOL ... good one .... the information is available to people that want to look for it; sheeple being what they are will never expend an effort on it. If it's not spoonfed then 80% of the populace will never learn of it.
