[history]
And now, the silent majority.
With the anti-war movement getting most of the attention, Bay Area residents who back President Bush's campaign to disarm Iraq or want to show their support for U.S. troops have begun to organize as well. And, as reservists head to the Persian Gulf, they are mobilizing with urgency.

Ping for "DA MAN", JimRob.
He does so much with so little that soon he'll be able to do everything with contributions.
Oh, that's right, he already does that.

One can only imagine the impact of Free Republic if we had thousands of monthly donors of just 17 cents per day or $5/month.
The actions noted in this thread are typical of what happens when Freepers get involved.
In spite of Free Republic being the best place in the world to get the real news, the real value happens when Freepers hit the streets or start other projects. The left wing lunatics have had the streets and news as their private domain for decades. Thanks to Free Republic, we are taking back the streets and getting the real news out to other Americans.

Very nice.
The Left's contempt for the American military isn't playing as well these days as it did in the VietNam era.
To: eureka!
Excuse me ... if people are so lazy they canot type in freerepublic.com, then they aren't that interested in being active about supporting America.

It's great to see that at least some of the media's waking up to the fact there are LOTS of folks who support our President and our troops!!
And thanks to the 'net, this kind of news can get directly to some of those who are serving overseas right now.
Off to e-mail!!

I sent this article from the Mercury News to my pen pals overseas tonight and got two responses already. I've told them all about FR and "Operation Infinite FReep".
David, on the USS Constellation, said:
"Thank you so much for this!! I am going to print it out and show it around, to spread the word out here about all the support we have back home! Please send a message to Jim, okay? Let him know that we appreciate what he is doing, and we're glad to hear that the word is spreading like wildfire, and to keep the good work up!"
Nick said:
"Well it's good to hear some good news instead of all the anti stuff. The bad part is most of the anti people have no idea of what they are talking about. They say that we want to take over the world. If we wanted to do that we already would have. Who knows what the French and Germans are thinking. Well any way thanks for the GOOD news."
Straight from two who are doing their part to protect the USA. It's news like this that helps keep their morale up.
