Changing the subject with ad hominem attacks only weakens your argument. You would do better to address what I actually say.

Well let's see:

So, when are we bombing Chechnya? Russia is handling that last time I heard. My point being, are we "at war" with everyone who is called "terrorist" by a government somewhere? BS
The reason I ask this is that I wonder why anyone would consider FARC part of the War on Terror. They have certainly committed acts of terror in their own country, but how does that involve us? I refer you back to post 40.

So what were those Americans doing down there, anyway? Were they tourists? Answered but you didn't like it. tough.

Now let us move on to the rest of your last post:

What the crash victims "deserve" has nothing to do with it. I will say this again: they were interfering in a civil war. You don't feel that the expanding of Castro and Marxism is of our concern?.. Amazing! That act entails risks, the more so since it is not our country's business.
As for our drug problem, it is ours and ours alone. The Colombians didn't cause it, and killing Colombians as our country's drug warriors (and some posters here) suggest will not make it go away. FARC is a terrorist organization, I'm sorry if that interferes with your dope supply maybe you should take up some other sport.
As for your pitiful ad hominem attack: yes I am a libertarian (No kidding). and I do not interfere in the affairs of others "for their own good"( Kind of like that gas station murder scene FOX has been playing all day on the news) . I do not have any dependence on "chemicals"( I got it right again WOW ) as you would have it, but if I did I would be quite able to get them despite the efforts of that pitiful failure that is the glorious Holy War on drugs. Now how did I know that? LOL
When I was in the service I too was sent to interfere in somebody else's civil war. Some of my comrades sacrificed their lives so that some dufus polishing the seat of a chair with his ass could appear "decisive". Of course the people living in that country were not helped at all, but that doesn't matter to the Bigmouths. Those who speak so easily of killing are free to get a plane ticket and a rifle and stop talking and start doing. After all, everybody I have encountered here is a deadly green-bereted SEALTeenageMutantNinjaTurtle. So go for it, tough guys. You wouldn't think of sending somebody else, now would you? LOL What do you want to do here play mine is bigger than your's? I don't know what that has to do with the question but if I put more into defending this country then you does that mean I will win this debate? Or maybe you just what to get into name calling?

Well, since you seem to be stuck on the irrelevent "you're a doper" argument, I won't waste any more time on that.

The issue here is not defending this country, but sticking our noses into another. I was only using my own history to illuminate the point. Looks like I struck a nerve, though; I didn't address that point directly to you but if you want to put the shoe on and loudly declare that it fits be my guest.

I only wish that those who are always screaming "let's go to war" would take the matter a little more seriously. It's not as easy as they think.

shades of Ron Brown?

Well, I see this has turned into yet another WoD thread but I had the exact same reaction when I read the headline.

A couple of quick points, here in America we have a group that called themselves the "Symbionese Liberation Army." Of course they were not an army but a group of murders, kidnapers and bank robbers, calling yourself an army does not make it so.

Armies have rules that they must play by. In WW11 a Japanese general beheaded some American POW's, after the war we caught him and killed him. That's why solders don't commit war crimes.

Is the FARC an army or terrorist group? It doesn't matter because they have assisted the Columbia drug cartel in violating the boarders of the U.S.A.

Libertarians use the states rights issue to argue their war against the war against drugs but there is no states rights involved here in fact the right of America to control who and what comes across our boarders is defended by libertarians.

The federal government has the right by both international law and the U.S. Constitution to control smuggling across our boarders. The Americans murdered by these terrorist (army ) were not violating Columbia or American laws. If they were to be considered POW's you have a war crime, if not you have an act of terrorism.

Kill them!

I do not disagree that the people were murdered. I only disagree with your solution.
