The memo also says NATO intelligence indicates Iraq has moved missiles close to the Kuwaiti border and could use them pre-emptively.

"Today's (NATO) intelligence reporting ... shows that Saddam has moved CBW-capable ballistic missiles close to the Kuwait border," Robertson says in the memo, originally reported by Belgian state television.

The NATO chief asks himself why the missiles would be moved to such a vulnerable position. "There can be only one reason: that Saddam is planning to use these weapons pre-emptively," he says.

I wonder what would happen if Blix's inspection team asked to visit the sites of these missiles.

Interesting. Can Inspector Blix explain why he has not inspected this location?

Thanks for the ping! This must be why I keep hearing analyst talk about it is urgent that we disarm Saddam. Richard Pearle, former Asst Sec of Defense, gave that analysis late this afternoon.

He also said that Chriac has a cozy relationship with Saddam involving oil, etc.

I sure did! Something is up the way people are beginning to talk it is urgent that Saddam be disarmed. They know a lot more than they are telling.

That makes me hate the French even more for putting us through this. Whatever the French are involved in with their "cozy" relationship with Saddam had better come out for the whole world to see.

It's too bad that the Senate can't take any action on this while they are stalled filibustering Estrada's confirmation.
