France is hip-deep; France has allowed it self to have a significant amount of its external investment to be placed in Iraq. The folly of such a course of action would be obvious to most right-thinking 7th graders, but apparently not to the French.
The French are going to absorb a big economic hit on this one and they have nobody but themselves to blame.

France and Germany both seem to see themselves as the "Leaders of the New United Europe". Instead of actully addressing any domestic issues they have attacked the US,whom has welcomed the Idea of a unified Europe, on foreign issues. I fear they have made a "serious" snafu which will be felt for sometime to come. I just hope it won't cost too many lives. Because this delay I fear it may have enabled Al Queda and Saddam to do exactly what we have been trying to prevent. I hope I am wrong.( God help us all What price for the power they seek? How many lives shall it cost? whatever that price,it is far too great.)

Miss Rice was contemptuous of this argument. "It did not take potential conflict with Iraq for al-Qa'eda to carry out 9/11," she said.Ya gotta love Ms Rice. This statement is so clear, so evident and irrefutable that it slams Chirac back into his leftist never neverland with one simple sentence. This is Mr Rice at her best. Resolved, well reasoned and blessedly direct.

"The United States rejected last night claims by President Jacques Chirac of France that Saddam Hussein posed no threat to the world and that war with Iraq would provoke a terrorist backlash."
Thank God my brain was made in the U.S.A. instead of France. Of course Saddam Hussein is a threat to the free world and to his own people. Thank God my backbone was made in the U.S.A instead of France. We'll handle any terrorist attempts that come our way --- just like we do every day. May God continue to bless America. Our strength is in the Lord.

What is the difference between snow and French soldiers?
You can build a man out of snow.

"As America and Britain prepared for an intense week of diplomacy to try to push through a second, stronger United Nations resolution M Chirac showed no sign of wanting to back down easily." Diplomacy is over. The chattering classes have been shown by Colin Powell's presentation to be idiots. There is no convincing the devil's handmaidens.

"In an attempt to soothe American anger over his country's refusal to back military force, M Chirac suggested that "if we go through with the inspections the Americans will have won, since it would essentially be thanks to the pressure they exercised that Iraq was disarmed". "
I can't decide if I'm more offended with Chirac's patronizing tone or his willingness to appease a tyrant.

"I just heard 60 Minute's Andy Rooney tear France a new one. He hit it out of the park! "
Yes, he did until the very last sentence but he just couldn't resist taking a snide little swipe at President Bush. He said, "The French have not earned the right to oppose President Bush's plans for Iraq but I have".

I can't decide if I'm more offended with Chirac's patronizing tone or his willingness to appease a tyrant. His willingness to appease a tyrant makes me want to ignore him. But his patronizing tone makes me want to kick his butt! I'm going to have to go with the patronizing tone.

I reject France.
France is a bigger threat to the US than Osama and Saddam combined.
Ask a Tutsi about the peace loving french.

Or a Corsican

Here is a quality true photograph of Jacques Chirac, Le President de France, in all his anal glory!
My bet is he has the usual dumb smile on his face as he usually does, the ultimate cheese-eating surrender monkey.

I believe france (lower case intentional) is a coward and afraid of its non-european citizens/residents among their midst.
About time france (again. lower case intentional) and the rest of Europe get rid of their alien elements.

M Chirac's suggestion of another report by Mr Blix in a month's time was brushed aside by Miss Rice. "March 14 is not a date from our point of view," she said. "This is the date the French have put out."
One has to wonder if France is just stalling to plan Saddam's escape and the transfer of billions looted from Iraq into French hands. I'm sure Chirac and his son and other key French figures have already been bought by the Iraqis.

I listened to John McCain today and thought he sounded...Republican. Proud. American even. Wonderful.
I am wondering where the fly in the ointment is? Am I naive?
