Have there been demographic studies of the occurance of aids in individuals with (1) malaria, (2) lyme or (3) other hyper-immune diseases or proclivity? Careful statistical surveys should reveal some pattern, that would be guidance to these kind of "infecting to cure" studies.

Thanks for that update. If it is the high fever alone that cures the AIDS then we should expect the pharmaceuticals to jump on this band wagon (after they give up trying to squelch this vein of research.)

Might there be another factor aside from the fever, though? There might be another component, some sort of cellular level biochemical stress reaction that has to be triggered. I'm guessing a one-two punch on those patients actually cured.
