I was listening to WBAL radio station in Baltimore.

There's one host in the morning, Chip Franklin, he's great!

he also has a good sense of humor. He was stuck in the snow but made it to the radio station. he had a one liner that cracked me up, Chip's a conservative. but upon hearung that the staea and city workers were on liberal leave, Chip quipped " I wonder, can a conservative take "liberal" leave?"

I was laughins hard at that!

It has been a long day for me - training class takes a lot out of me. I have a very energetic and knowledge-thirsty class that is "sucking my brains out"...LOL!!

Thank you, my FRiends, for your prayers for JK's mom. I just got back from the hospital. She is doing much better, but they are going to keep her hospitalized for four or five more days in order to run tests.

Jkphoto and I really do appreciate your concern and prayers. His mom was touched to hear that people on FR were praying for her. And, Louie, I delivered the kiss on her check from you, as instructed. She said to tell you 'thank you'.........(and, I do believe she blushed just a bit). ;-)

Hey....how are you. I am still snowed in and hoping to dig out fully tomorrow. Three times shoveling over 6 inches each time has really taken it's toll on me. I can not see how people wait until all 18 inches fall though before going out. I have about 4 more inchesto pick up that have fallen since I last shoveled.

Kuwait Marine camp starts to take shape

My nephew is over there right now. He is in the Navy and writes that he is involved in building an enormous tent city, apparently the subject of this news report. One interesting comment from one of his emails: "There are many services on Sundays at the chapel but they are all catholic or protestent or whatever and no non denominational christian services, so I just read my bible before I go to sleep. I try to walk in Jesus' footsteps however I can and I know I am doing as best a job as I can." And then, my absolute favorite line from a couple emails ago: "They were taking shots at us with small arms last night but I do not worry because Marines are always itching for a fire fight so they quell any problem very quickly. These are just isolated incidents, most Kuwaiti's are pretty cool about us being here." Just thought the freepers would like to know what fine young men we have over there protecting this world from madmen. All prayers are, of course, welcome and appreciated.
