After reading Michelle Malkin's article which exposes that this family is a bunch of illegal aliens who were smuggled across the border...tragic or not, they ought to be deported.

The whole situation is tragic. It seems that a mistake was made, but that the doctors didn't try to cover up but owned up to it.
Imperfect outcome due to imperfect world.

It's tragic but her family scammed their way into the United States. In other words didn't immigrate here the right way. How ironic that the operation wasn't done the right way either.
I assure you that her plight is all over the Mexican/Hispanic media. Word is out, come to the USA for free treatment for your medical problems

Imperfect outcome due to an imperfect world with families that immigrate imperfectly. Illegally in fact.

You notice the article conveniently leaves out the fact that the family is here illegally.
I hope Elizabeth Dole goes to bat for US citizens, as well.

You notice the article conveniently leaves out the fact that the family is here illegally.90% of newspaper articles omit the illegal status of immigrants in the news. Another game is to call illegal aliens, *migrants* or *undocumented immigrants*. Plus the female reporters are usually sent in to make it a sob story.

Anyone who wouldn't try to smuggle their kids to a place where they can be saved is a P.O.S. I hope you'd do the same for your children. If not, read my fist sentence.

"Anyone who wouldn't try to smuggle their kids to a place where they can be saved is a P.O.S. I hope you'd do the same for your children. If not, read my fist sentence." So you advocate breaking laws to "save the children"?

"The whole situation is tragic. It seems that a mistake was made, but that the doctors didn't try to cover up but owned up to it. Imperfect outcome due to imperfect world." Correction, they COULDN'T cover it up. If it had been possible, you can bet they would have tried.
The physician who made this preposterous mistake should NOT be allowed to practice medicine on the general public again (I recommend that he be relegated to fixing ingrown toenails on prison inmates).

You notice the article conveniently leaves out the fact that the family is here illegally. Is this known fact or rumor?

It is a known fact that the entire family is here illegally. They paid $5000 to a smuggler to get them into the country.

MSNBC's report this morning mentioned the fact that the family had been smuggled in. The reporterette never used any form of the word illegal. Earlier this week I saw a report on one of the news nets that the family had insurance, and that the insurance was picking up 80% of the cost, with Duke picking up the other 20% Who's paying for all of this? And I hear the family has already retained a malpractice atty. Not that I, in any way, excuse Duke, but the idea that these folks may make money off this situation really ticks me off.

Her family does not speak English. They can bully them around and do all they want to, and I just refuse to let them bully me. The family has been here for 3 years so if they don't speak English it's something they've chosen not to do. An adult can learn a new language within 6 months enough to communicate and get by in. Children can learn faster.

Two decades ago, Mack Mahoney lost his 2-month-old son, Anthony, after an operation to correct a kidney defect. He felt the operation was botched, but didn't see the sense in taking any action.
This time around, Mahoney refuses to stay silent.I have a feeling he's kept his grief bottle up, he's going to exploit this case and he's the puppeteer manipulating the family. He's going to go for huge money, it's his way of getting revenge with the system.

Yes. I would also have helped slaves escape from slavery in the 1860's and I would have sheltered Jews in Germany. If you wouldn't rob a bank to save your child's like, you are a pathetic excuse for a parent.
