"The Islamic Supreme Council has a reputation of being a more genuinely moderate Islamic organization, though they're unable to get into the game in Washington."

Good catch. That's apparently from the Ramadan dinner last November. I stand corrected.
Here's the article I thinking of when I made the earlier comment...
Yet not all Muslim groups agree with Saffuri's attempt to cast U.S. Muslims as victims. Some urge cooperation with federal law-enforcement authorities. Ironically, they believe that instead of being courted they have been frozen out of dialogue with the Bush administration. "We are concerned that some government staffers may be undermining the best interests of our president and his administration, either wittingly or not" says Dr. Hedieh Mirahmadi of the Islamic Supreme Council of America. "It is no secret that our organization has repeatedly been excluded from White House, State Department and attorney general events with the Muslim community."
For Mirahmadi and others, there's no room for impeding domestic antiterrorism investigations. "It is our patriotic duty as Americans and our duty as Muslims to speak up against any attempt by extremists to mobilize the Muslim community against our country," she says.

And yet, given the opportunity to bring the Executive Director of The Islamic Supreme Council to radio FR, all your colleagues could do was insult myself, and my guest.

Luis, I'm not home on Thursday nights. It's Quiz Night at a local pub, and I'm on a team.
What's the lowdown on this show?

Grover has been embarassed because he was kissing up to terrorist and he dosen't want to admit that he got snowed and that they were bad folks. Gaffney just called him on it. Hell, just two weeks ago, Norquist was still defending that Islamic professor who just got arrested for being the Hamas fund raiser in ther U.S.

I developed a generic theory, it goes like this : A GOOD MOSLEM IS A BAD MOSLEM A Moslem that follows his religion so closely, by definition will be a bad person full of hate, as the religion teaches. A Moslems that does not pay close attention to his religion may be a reasonable Moslem. What do you think of my theory?
To: philosofy123
That can be true -- yet even the Koran and the commentaries can be read closely for Peace. The battles for mastery of ones animal instincts, for submission to the Divine Will-- those can be read as internal battles. I'm no student of the Koran -- speaking just following current events and a little research into that religion.

Re: Schlussel
I've come to the conclusion that she plays VERY fast and loose with the facts. I do not consider her a reliable source---at all.

If all I had was Schlussell, you might be justified. It's clear, however, that there are more sources than that. Her account is consistent with theirs on many elements.
While we all have varying degrees of skepticism about various news sources, that skepticism isn't enough to dismiss credible accounts from those sources, out of hand. Intellectual honesty requires a little more of us than that.

ALL I did was give my opinion on Schlussel, nothing else.
I usually try to be very precise in my language, so please don't assign commentary to me that I did not give.

Fair enough. What should I infer from your mention of your skepticism of Schlussell, to the exclusion of 16 other sources on that post, and the information they conveyed?
To: Sabertooth
And while I'm at it, let me be clear. I am stating that my posted opinion of Debbie Schlussel is all I intended to post and I immediately clarified and underscored that upon your interpretation that I was implying more than that.
That is NOT the same as the conclusions I have drawn about the intentions of certain posters regarding their posts on the subject of these particular threads in general, although they strive for plausible deniability.
