Nelson did, in fact, say that he supported, and would vote to confirm, Estrada.

Hatch saying their Liberal media friends are ignoring the fact that all the past Sol. Generals said NO to releasing memos and papers, and that 3 of the SG were DemS.

dEMS are taking away a great Hispanics chance to advance - yelling.

Estrada said yesterday it is worth going through this. (Talked to hatch yesterday). He would follow the law as he always has.

If the Dems force 60 votes, never again will any president be able to get through their choices. If the dems filibuster hatch says "What's good for the goose, is good for the gander". hahah

In 2000 all we heard, over and over from the Dems, was, "Every vote must count!"

Now, all we hear from the Dems, over and over, is, "No vote must count if we won't like the outcome!"

When are we going to slam this down their lying throats?

Bill Nelson is not supporting the filibuster, but he has not come out in support of Estrada.

I think Nelson has said he will vote FOR him

Is it true the President is going to speak about the war tonight? If so, every lead in will be "Democrats fillibustering Miguel Estrada while the President readies the country for war"

well, his office says something different. Maybe they thought I was a democrat and I was made that he supported the filibuster, so he didn't want to say he supported the nominee...Still if he does, you'd think he'd say so.

Call Bill Nelson and see if he supports Estrada!

As the Senate engaged in a third week of debate on the nomination, Nelson announced his backing of Estrada a day after a Hispanic group began airing radio ads in Florida and a handful of other states in support of the nominee.

"I am troubled by those who have suggested that some senators are anti-Hispanic because they seek additional information about this nominee," Nelson said in a statement. "Poisoning the debate with baseless, accusations demeans the nomination process."

CREDENTIALS REVIEWED

Yet, Nelson said, "After reviewing Mr. Estrada's personal and professional credentials, including personally interviewing the nominee, I believe he is qualified to serve on the D.C. Circuit Court and, I will vote in favor of his nomination."

An aide said Nelson told Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, a South Dakota Democrat, two weeks ago he was leaning in favor of Estrada and informed Daschle on Tuesday of his decision to back him.

When a Well Respected Democratic Senators, publicly declares his party's opposition as unworthy or "Purely Politcal" it is all but over.

Sen. Bill Nelson, Florida Democrat, said yesterday that he will vote for Mr. Estrada. "Based on my conversation with him, and those who know him well, I believe he respects — and will honor — his moral and legal obligation to uphold the law impartially," he said.

And then Zell,

Mr. Miller said his party's opposition to Mr. Estrada is "all political" and can be attributed to pressure from outside interest groups. "The groups run everything around here," the conservative Democrat said Monday.

They Cannot sustain a filibuster once comments like that are being made in public.
