Anthrax is not immediately deadly, and deadly illness can be prevented by prompt treatment before symptoms begin, or even after, and ER's have now have personell trained to be on the look out for outbreaks of Anthrax infection and emergency plans for that contingency

First, you have to know you were exposed to start treatment.

Second, treatment is not a vaccine-you have to be sure that the anthrax is no longer in your environment. If I am not mistaken, most places contaminated with last years letters are not useable to this day. Imagine downtown Chicago, Manhattan, Boston, San Fran and Denver, Miami etc. all given healthy doses of anthrax in various spots. Our cities would be virtual ghosttowns.

Third, the anthrax has to be suseptible to antibiotics. We can't assume because the warning shots were, that the real McCoy will be.

I am not sure what exactly is going on, but I think TGS is pretty close. And to anybody paying attention we are being babystepped in that direction. (Powell with the vial at UN, reports of Iraq having drones fitted with spray devices in our country, duct tape and plastic sheeting, etc.)

LOL!!! Have you looked around you or talked to anyone lately? If you went to the ER with signs of anthrax (similar to that of the flu) and expressed concerns that you might think you were exposed to anthrax-Do you really think you'd even get an xray taken-until you were on your death bed? If millions were exposed in one shot...it would be ugly.

So do I, but I believe we are approaching the end of it. Hostage situations do not go on indefinitely, eventually the building is stormed.

Yes, but it's not time yet. In a war that will be viewed as the test of whether the civilized world can successfully deal with WMD in the hands of barbarians, we must be very confident of total victory. If we fail, Pandora's box will have been opened. We will not take a chance until we are as certain as we can be.

We are not yet sufficiently prepared, nor is there yet the depth of public support that would be required for prosecution of the war. I believe these prerequisites will come to pass, I would guess in 1 to 1 1/2 years, and that's when the war will happen.

The depth of public support is going the other way, I hate to say it, but it is true. Another 1 to 1 1/2 years of $2+ gas and there won't even be an opportunity to introduce any new information to people, especially the vast numbers of "Joe Millionaire" loving Americans. They will just be sick of hearing it. The window of opportunity is closing.

What is amazing to me is how many people in the media apparently bought the Hatfill story 100%. This includes alot of conservatives, do you ever hear any of the "big names" of conservative media talking about the anthrax attacks? Whether there is possible linkage to Iraq? I don't.

Yes, support for war on Iraq is on the wane right now, but you can't extrapolate indefinitely. The depth of public support at some time in the future will depend on what happens between now and then.
