I'm tired of the self righteous jerks in the media demanding perfection from anyone BUT the Muslims. Has anyone except a few on the right challenged Farakhan about his CONTINUAL hate speech? Hell no! The hypocrites in the media can kiss my !!!

There are decent truly G-d-fearing muslims. Ones the muftis and mullahs of hate haven't yet hunted down and killed. Some ones who will happily and joyously risk their lifes to save ours, and many who live quiet lifes scornng the paths of hatred.

I think he got it from Ann Coulter and she was right
on the money. What's going on, is a double standard being
applied? Just goes to show you, it's easier to bash
'religion', than the 'media'.

I missed it but was Brokaw drunk again? Imagine a Baptist who thinks he can say something bad about anything. Are Christians allowed to speak at all. What about "Freedom From Religion".

Andrew Sullivan has a hard hitting column on totalitarianism and Islam on his blog.

I am a member of a Southern Baptist Church and I am glad and proud that some of our leaders have what it takes to tell the truth.
The ones who don't like hearing the truth can go jump in the lake.
Semper Fi brother.

When we take out Iraq, and knock down into dust the Saudi Empire of Hate, they'll come out. I'm not denying that many many many muslims have been corrupted by hate -- even beyond reach. I'm not even denying that their is a flaw fundamenally in that religion -- there are whole groups that will be able to, that have, transcended it. Hard even to call them muslim -- sort of post-Muslim.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. Christ's statement was not hateful. It was EXCLUSIVE! Apparently being exclusive is now equal with hatred. What a stretch. . . but anything's possible in today's amoral, relativistic America.
BTW - no one has disproven Jesus' assertion, and countless attempts at discrediting HIStory assures me that no one will ever defeat His Truth.
If this really constitutes hatred, then stop the World; so, I can get off.
Wait, when I get to leave is His decision.

Thanks for your info.
I don't agree with you though.
No one can be a muslim and not hate a Christian.

I for one am glad they are speaking out.
The Southern Baptist should be proud of their leaders for having the guts to do this.

I saw this segment. It was astonishing in that Brokaw makes the claim - earlier in the show and again in the teaser before the break -- that the guy preaches hate. And then he had NO EXAMPLE! He had the two sound bites the article mentions but nothing that in any way indicated hate. You would only "know" that hate was involved from the remarks of others and from what Brokaw said.
It was a hit piece, plain and simple. A complete disgrace to journalism
