"Thanks for posting this news. And thanks for the ping Meek."

You are very welcome - and thx Meek.

BTW: The thread title is a bit misleading as so many have pointed out.

Title as posted: "Inside the Ring-Iraqi soldiers defecting."

Title in reality: "Inside the Ring-Iraqi soldiers defecating.

what happened to the Iraqi troops that surrendered after the first war was over.

I believe that thousands of them were resettled here in the States...unfortunately, there were probably some unfriendlies planted among the refugees. One of the largest groups (IIRC over 5000) settled near Oklahoma City...

I must say, maybe this is what GWB meant when he said there might not be a war, maybe they are so scare4d that they will just surrender, and someone will take out Saddam

A pair of white under shorts with brown spots will work just as well

LOL! Too bad they probably don't have undershorts.

Saw a segment on PBS that broke my heart about Iraqis that have fled Iraq in the last months. This one fellow said he had healthy twin babies born to his wife and they were killed. He said they were killed to up the statistics on infant mortality from sanctions. He said everybody is asking hopelessly, longingly, "When are the Americans coming?" And it was like an accusation, like why have we put it off so long considering the continuing atrocities and suffering of his people.
