Big gris gris good morning to you, Dutchess, and to all our tante Hostesses...extra good gumbo today...makes me wanna get out the ol' pirou, and paddle up the bayou...but, no...gotta go to work, instead, be a wooden Indian for awhile....)

As I was reading about Mardi Gras, a rainbow formed out on the west horizon, as the sun came up...very brilliant, first the left side, then the right appeared, and finally the arc filled in nearly complete in the misty blue sky above the cloud forms...quite amazing, it lasted about 10 minutes...a lucky way to start the day, Freeping with rainbows...)

May all my FRiends and neighbors find a little rainbow in your pockets this fine and fat Tuesday.

Well, you did a good job with it! :)

We have some very dear friends who live in the heart of Cajun country, and oh the wonderful things I learned to cook from them - gumbo, etouffe, shrimp sauce piquante, dirty rice....not to mention some of the 'lingo'. :)
