Amen. Where concealed-carry laws are passed thug crime diminishes. The pilots are still fighting for self and passenger defense and need help.

Cav,
President Bush has learned from history. Gun control is one of the key issues that cost his Dad the election. President Bush also knows that the gun owners really turned out the vote for him in 2000. I don't think that he's going to forget that.
Cav, I'd also suggest looking at the ping I sent you last week about Ashcroft going after Kaliforny using the NICS checks illegally. That shows a direction that this administration is moving in.
Personally I'm going to stick a note in the solicitations I get from the Republican party and let them know my contributions are on hold till I see which way this goes.

I can't believe that President Bush would actually consider renewing this. He won it 2000 thanks to large numbers of democrat crossovers in states like West Virgina, Arkansas, and Tennessee. The ONLY reason many of these life long democrats voted for him was their mistrust of Al Gore on guns. If he renews this 2 months before the election I can guarantee that a most of these voters will "sit out" this election or decide since their is no difference in the 2 parties they might as well return to the democrat fold.
