I had only read that he and his son were wearing T-shirts with "no-war" messages. If he was disruptive, then ef-him, he deserved it. The mall cop should not have lost his job unless he was out of bounds. I will speak to my Albany connections and get the straight poop.

inferring your support of the lawful freedom to say anything via a T-shirt. I support the law of the land.
My non-lawyer reading of the above posted cases is:
1. Lloyd: US Constitution allows mall owners to restrict peaceful protests inside a mall, (property owners can kick out protestors.) 2. Pruneyard: State constitutions might limit mall owners' right to restrict peaceful protests inside a mall, (property owners can kick out protestors only under certain circumstances if their state constitution grants stronger rights to protestors.)
3. Shad: In this particular case, the state of NY, the mall owners are allowed to restrict peaceful protests, as long as the mall owners are not being arbitrary and capricious in their policies.
Of course, in this case, the mall owners' perceived the recent arrest as bad PR for the mall, and the security guard was offered as a scapegoat.

I'm with you, I watch Fox News regularly, and never saw anything about the peaceniks trying to start any ruckus. It would be interesting to unearth the whole truth.
Of course, if they had gotten in MY face about their anti-war wimpyness, I might have had to be ejected by a mall security guard!

IS ALL FINE AND GOOD ACCORDING TO THE LAWYERS......A PERSON CAN USE FREE SPEACH TO INTIMIDATE OTHERS WHILE THEY "SELL" THEIR BELIEFS?.....
I DON'T THINK SO.

It sounds like the protestors were deliberately trying to get ejected so they could cause trouble for the mall. They could have been confronted by someone who disagreed with the the shirt.
