HEAVILY armed al Qaeda thugs practiced storming a school, shooting children and taking hostages in a videotaped training exercise, The Post has learned.

The terror rehearsal took place under the mandate of al Qaeda's operations chief, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Our chldren are already being taught to sympathize with the terrorists. In high schools across America, kids are reading Robert Courmier's AFTER THE FIRST DEATH. It's about a group of terrorists (it never says, but it seems obvious by their names, their looks, and the remarks they make, that they are Palestinians).

This group of terrorists takes a school bus full of grade-schoolers hostage. The American general trying to negotiate their release is portrayed as morally reprehensible, the youngest terrorist is portrayed as vulnerable and rather pitiable, and the lead terrorist has a very compelling personality.

Booktalks written by high school students have already appeared on the line indicating that the lead terrorist is a "favorite" character. I sat and watched a high school teacher lead children to the conclusion that the American general and the lead terrorist were simply two sides of the same coin.

When the terrorists take the schools, the students will not even have the moral fortitude to hate their own killers.

What a horrid thing to have to read on a Sunday morning. If I had any doubts as to who their "religion" might be, it's settled now. Cloven hooves...

Should have read--who the leader of their religion might be. Sorry, I confess this story has shaken me to the bone.

By doing what? Get President Bush to declare war on every individual, American or not, who practices Islam? Be reasonable.

"These are not men, they are the worst sort of cowards imaginable."

Another thing I find disturbing. These children and people they're using in the video--what became of them? The article said one child was stomped. How many Afghan children died in the making of this "training" tape?

"A tape was found today showing redneck deer hunters practising 300+ yard kill shots with scoped, high powered rifles, using cutouts of terrorists as targets."

The really sad thing about your parody is that if such a tape had been found, the PC crowd, the gun grabbers, and the Hollywierd stars would have demanded the heads of these redneck deer hunters.

U.S. government needs to release these tapes so the soccer-moms, here and abroad, can see just what these monsters really are.

I will guarantee you, without fear of contradiction, the media would be able to find some of them who will come on camera and say "it's all Bush's fault."

On the contrary, my friend. In fact, the Koran--and in similar fashion--the Bible like most written texts are read subjectively. Each reader extracts different meanings from the same text given their specific point of view. The common mistake of taking verses out of context is often the root of the problem.

Having read the Koran myself, I am of the opinion that to Muhammad, Jews and Christians were peoples with whom you could align yourself if it was in your own best interest and so long as they honored treaties. Otherwise, it is clear that the "idolators" were to be persecuted and/or put to death.

The Koran specifically states, "Be courteous when you argue with the People of the Book, except those among them who do evil...We believe in that which is revealed to us and which is revealed to you. Our God and your God is one. To Him we surrender ourselves."

The issue currently at hand is the modern interpretation of the Koran. Peaceful traditional muslims acknowledge Muhammad. The fudamentalists (offshoots of the Wahabbi sect from Saudi Arabia) do not acknowledge Muhammad because they support monotheism, or simply, prayer only to Allah.

The root of the fundamentalist islamic terror is based in the Wahabbi madrassas throughout the world. Their philosophies, which are taught on every continent in nearly every country (including the US) do not allow for alternative religious sentiment or polytheism. In fact, they have even taken the notion of jihad, or one's personal struggle with their faith, to be a Muslim war against the infadels to spread Wahhabism.

Muslims in general aren't the problem, the Wahabbis from Saudi Arabia are the real threat. If we want to point fingers, I suggest directing our vitriol towards Riyadh and not the peaceful muslims out there.

But these people have shown us the truth. When they slit the throats of pilots and drove planes into office buildings, they removed any illusions that they were anything less than rabid animals who can only be put down to protect civilization.

100% correct. But there are people in this country who would call you intolerant for that post. And most of them marched in NY and DC yesterday. Blinded by hatred for Bush, they will back anyone who opposes him.

those friends and neighbors who see nothing wrong with the actions of terrorists, who refuse to condemn them, and who wish to force us not to defend ourselves, are the aiders and abettors of evil.

If the terrorists ever succeeded in attacking a school here in America, I think you would see a BIG change in attitude among subrurbanites who are not usually affected by that kind of evil. If it can happen in ONE suburban school, it can happen in ANY school.

So in the three translations you read, aqll you can take from the text is that the Koran preaches "death to the infidel"?

I agree that the fundamentalists have believe the teachings of the Koran indicate the irradication of the infidels if they will not submit to the conservative isalmic view. However, my colleagues who are muslim feal completely different about the Koran. They are intraspective about their faith and view jihad as their own personal struggle. They do not subscribe to this notion of jihad as a religious conquest of the West.

That's my point. All religious texts are read and adhered to differently by each reader.

True, but we haven't seen any widespread terrorist schoolchildren massacres (thank God). In the people I talk to, that sniper being muslim was a definate turning point for them.

The main point derived after reading the Bible and the Koran was summed up perfectly by another freeper a few days ago.

Jesus died for our sins, Mohommed would have you killed for yours.
