I am not in Vermont. I wish I could help. Anything I can do , other than praise your baby brother and say an exrta prayer for him and his family. Tell him I said God bless and thanks for trying to make American school accountable again. I wish him luck. He is fighting a War that is seldomly seen or heard by the average person.

Please keep us posted... I'm in CA and have been troubled at the way teachers are pushing their personal anti-war beliefs in my daughter's H.S. freshman classes.

Unfortunately, no. I don't know if this has anything to do with him being in LA this week or not. It may have upset the apple cart.

He's still pushing hard and coverage up in his area is starting to pick up, but it sure would have been nice to have a heavy hitter on his team right out of the gate.

Heres some facts that Swinus isn't telling you.

He was arrested and cuffed for shoving a uniformed police officer.

Bread and Puppet Theatre performed at the High School. They are very anti war. They were asked to perform by the student government. They were paid for by the student government. NOT the Administration. The Addison Eagle has been informed of this many times and chooses not to believe it. Its nice to infuriate people by pretending that the school is pushing some agenda.

Its not.

The peace protest that went on was also not put on by the administration, but by a student who read about similar gatherings on the internet. The administration informed teachers that any student skipping class to attend the event should be assigned detention.

The addison eagle has also been informed of this and choose to ignore it, again, choosing to blame the administration.

The supposed "teacher" taking pictures was not a teacher. It was a student. (But then, whoever let facts get in the way of propaganda?)

Fascinating School Board meeting last night.

About a hundred people there supporting our teachers and students with many students speaking up and telling Swinus AGAIN they were the ones who organized the peace protests.

Veterans stood up and spoke out in support for our children and the school and against Swinus's biased reporting.

One kid pointed at Swinus and told him HE was the Anti American.

I'm told that no one showed up supporting Swinus.

Why?

Because what he reported in his paper and on here is so distorted and such a piece of fiction, its laughable.

You simple moron. You couldn't possibly have pointed at me because I was in Philadelphia. It's my brother who was at the meeting.

Wanna see who has truth and who has balls??? Below is the e-mail I sent last night to Mr Lombardo, the Superintendent. If you don't believe me, just ask him :-) Hooah!!!

Hello Mr Lombardo. If my name looks familiar it's because my brother is Ron O'Neill. And yes, I am the brother, also known on the boards as "SwinusMaximus", who has been making sure the story of Ron's appalling treatment is given the widest circulation possible. I take it from the report of Mr Clark's hissy fit at your recent board meeting that I've been successful. I'm not done yet but I consider this a good start.

I am not nearly as annoyed at this as Ron is but he's the one with children attending MUHS. And as Kris and Tracey are my nieces I'm not a totally disinterested party.

I decided to write this note to you to let you know, and to let Mr Clark know, that I am not going to hide behind my posting name. I will stand out in the open, which is more than Mr Clark did when he organized his nonsense, and, as a consequence, had a decorated police officer, who was doing his duty as a parent, arrested.

Now, I'm a fair man. I believe in giving even people like Mr Clark a fair shot, whether they deserve it or not. I also believe in "put up or shut up".

I am willing to put my philosophy and rhetorical skills up against Mr Clark's in a head to head debate: podium, moderator, resolution, and clock. Would it not be a good thing to allow your students to see the marketplace of ideas in action? In this scenario Mr Clark will not have a captive audience of undisciplined and inexperienced minds to indoctrinate. He'll have to compete with me. I will do this at my expense in unfriendly territory because I'm that confident that I'll toast him to a cinder.

I look forward to hearing from you, or from Mr Clark.

Regards,

Hank O'Neill

OK, there's obviously been a development in this story, but there are so many deleted posts it's hard to tell what happened. Would either of you care to spell out what has happened?

Please, just dry facts, as much as possible, and avoid the profanity. Like many here, I'm interested in the story, and would like to know what happened.

Thanks,

Drew Garrett

I was named as "an agitator" at the school board meeting last night, but was mentioned only as Ron O'Neill's brother since they didn't know precisely who "SwinusMaximus" really was. Mr Clark was very much upset that this story is hitting not only FR but also NewsMax, WashingtonDispatch, and some other conservative boards.

I decided that the right thing to do was to uncloak myself and stand out in the open under my own name. I did this by writing directly to the Superintendent of schools offering a public debate: my philosophy and skills against Mr Clark's. I didn't want there to be any doubt at all about who I am, or any implication that I was hiding behind anyone or anything.

I've yet to hear back from either Mr Lombardo or Mr Clark, even though my home address and phone number are on the e-mail I sent.

Good heavens. How does this Mr. Clark know about Freerepublic. Is he following you around and posting everywhere you go? How is he related to the school? Please be careful this person seems to be a bit off.

March 5 was a sad day for the rights of parents in Vermont. I am sure that I am not the only parent who is concerned that my children are being exposed to what amounts sometimes to anti-American and far-left ideology at school.

One might start with some required reading in our esteemed institutions of higher learning...

Apparently somebody who surfs the boards saw the original story I posted and passed the word back to him and his associates. According to my brother I took a real pounding at the board meeting last night, but, of course, they didn't know who I really was. I decided to solve that mystery for them.

The only thing I can say is that I hope my challenge doesn't go answered.

notify the school board in advance so that they can be added to the agenda --

Yes, I didn't think to mention that! I spoke to the School Board years ago, before you had to 'schedule' things!
