Where were critics during Kosovo?
Washington Times ^ | 3/11/03 | Larry Elder

Edited on 07/12/2004 4:01:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

When President Clinton used the military in Kosovo, his primary justification added up to one thing humanitarian reasons. His supporters cheered him on, despite this illegitimate, though humane, use of our military.

The case against Iraq, however, turns on the Iraqi dictator's possession of and willingness to use biological, chemical and possibly nuclear weapons against U.S. allies, U.S. interests and the United States itself. President Bush does, indeed, underscore the horror inflicted upon the Iraqi people by Saddam Hussein. But those who applauded Mr. Clinton's Kosovo mission seem, in the case of Iraq, indifferent as to the "humanitarian angle."

Looks like this guy is ignorant of critics during the NATO invasion of Yugoslavia.

Critics were there and are still here. Not critisizing Clinton or Bush but critisizing the American foreign policy which from a force of freedom has turned into force of imperialism.

Yes, but where were the thousands of demonstrators in the streets? Larry is making the valid point that today's "anti-war" movement is almost entirely just anti-Bush.

He (clintoon) gave all, or most of our cruise missiles to the NATO NAZI's, and they were using OUR US Airforce, etc. All to divert people away from LewinskiGate.

like i said. IAC/ANSWER protested it. they didn't get much organized compared to what they've done on iraq because IAC/ANSWER"s been working on iraq stuff since 91.

Indeed, the IAC was against Kosovo and Desert Fox as well as any sanctions or inspections on Iraq. Ramsey Clark is also on Milosevic's defense team, I believe.

He never seems to have met a brutal killer he didn't take a shine to.

Yeah because the WWP would never have any ulterior motives to protesting American military intervention.
