I doubt the police have been involved in this at all. It sounds like the city attorney's office has been handling it. Letters in September and January demonstrate that they had not turned their heads prior to the destruction of the memorial as you suggest.
May I suggest that this guy who hasn't obtained the proper permits for his business is using FR to somehow protect him in a criminal case after the destruction of the memorial?
Look "SolidSupplySide" If you want to slam someone You slam me!
The RV yard owner did not post this.... I did.
These people up there don't even know what Free Republic is! And the only person I been talking to up there is Tracy who (with other locals)put up and have been maintaining the 911 memorial for last 18 months & she is not the owner of the yard
So for you to imply that the owner is trying to use FR is bunk...and a low shot... I posted this not him
So if you want to take a pot shots at someone get the right target .. that me!
What amazes me is you read one story in the Whittier daily news and your a expert on what going on you know all the ins n outs of the local politics here
I live and worked in this little area since 1960 I know this area well (Whittier, La Habra, La Mirada, and Buena Park) I know a lot of the business people (But not the RV yard owner) I know the local police, I know the local politics
Locally La Habra has a well know and well earned reputation as a (to be blunt)chickshit little town to deal with
That they might be sticking the owner is not my opinion its most peoples opinion in this area that have dealt with La Habra This including my cop buddies (LA County Sheriff, Buena Park PD) and other business owners in La Habra
In the past, I've called dozens of law offices, explained my issue, and gotten "free" advice before proceeding. Sometimes (this happened to me) the fact that you're calling dozens of lawyers and are willing to put a financial stake in it will break loose a compromise.
