why should we blame TurkeyIt's not a matter of blame, it is their country, but a great dissappointment to a loyal ally (USA). I don't think we would have parked so much on their doorstep if we weren't led to believe it would work out. In fact I think there are those in Turkey who still think this will happen. At this point I hope it doesn't.

When the free Iraq is ready for trade with the world, Turkey will not be involved. Yes, they will. But Kurdistan will need supervision for a lot longer than Iraq will.

Good point. Our constant delays and wishy-washyness contributes to wariness of all possible allies.
Al Haig made that statement a couple of mos. ago. He said when, and if, we become decisive, more will come aboard. But, until then, our indecisiveness is our worst enemy.
