My point here is just that if it was an ordinary citizen, a mere mortal that hit a pedestrian, no matter what the circumstances, the law says that you stop, check for injuries and call the police to investigate. If it was clearly the pedestrians fault, so be it. But you must stop and report.

The law must be the same for everyone or we have a police state.

I have no special animosity for cops except when they take special priveleges. They do not have a license to break the law.
