I have sympathy for the poor kids too. It's not their fault they were trained from birth to be murderers. The blame lies squarely on the shoulders of the regimes that enforce the brainwashing of their people with brutal repression. Arafat, Saddam, the Ayatollahs, the kings of Syria and Saudi Arabia, Qadafi, and the Sudanese are all one and the same on this.

Did you ever meet a HITLER YOUTH? I did. Just because the war was over and he grew up doesn't mean he changed his stripes. He was FILLED with hatred for Americans still yet, and the war (second) had been over for 25 years! I can still remember that intense hatred all these years later. The way he was "taught" is no excuse. And believe me, he chanted it all out to me. It was awful. (I never could figure out what he was doing over here instead of being home in his "beloved" Germany!)

I don't give ignorant people like this girl and the pallie boys any leniency either. In a kill-or-be-killed world, I'd rather it was our enemy who bit the dust ... not our innocent boys and girls who go fight to protect us and our country.

Quite frankly, I don't understand the unwarranted sympathy for that girl and her parents. They are just as traitorous as Jane Fonda and Sean Penn, etc. Peaceful demonstration is one thing ... aiding and abetting the enemy is another!

I agree. I can't believe how many people have been infected by the "political correctness" virus, even here.

People have to get it into their heads that "it's us or them".

While we try to "understand" these "poor misguided kids", they gleefully come and murder us.

Many of the suicide bombers are young teenagers. It's too bad that they were turned into killers, but they ARE killers. And those who support them, don't deserve any sympathy either.

Everyone is making a choice: "you are either with us, or you are with the terrorists".

If they chose to be with the terrorists, they shouldn't expect any different treatment.

I am going to admit something. When I heard about this on the news this morning (here in Washington state), I actually laughed a little bit. My first thought was, "What do you 'human shields' expect, when you stand with terrorists?"

The idea of one of them - especially an Evergreener (living in Washington state, hearing about the Mumia business, having to work in downtown Seattle on the first day of WTO - well, let's just say I have little tolerance for Evergreeners) - getting flattened by a bulldozer just did not bother me that much. We cannot lose sight of the fact that she made a choice to stand with KILLERS.

Actually - the best thing I can say about this girl is that she was one of the few "human shields" who actually had the guts to put her flesh and blood where her mouth was.
