Along these lines, here's an interesting quote for all you Freepers out there . . . Anyone who can name the source gets a place of honor here on FR.

Many Jews support the war, certainly Conservative Jews do, and why the heck, I hve been wondering, should American Jews run from admitting support for a war to protect Americans, a war that 70% of Americans (including Jews) also support?

Veronica, I know there are conservative Jews out there, but every Jew I know is a knee-jerk liberal. Shocking many say that the Palestinians have a point. Seriously.

At the very least, American Jews (and even Israeli Jews) are divided about an American war on Iraq. Although Iraq has been an energetic enemy of Israel, and everyone recalls the scub attacks of a dozen years ago, the US is spreading itself very thin simultaneously confronting Afghanistan, North Korea, and Iraq. There is a very real worry that, by committing itself on those three fronts, the US would not be much help if other Arab countries chose this moment to attack Israel.
