I have to diagree with you on that point, at least partially. I have not been able to get past her lack of qualifications and on-camera skills to evaluate her bias, if any. Snatched from her OJ-trial celebrity by a network eager to get an intelligent female host and rendered at least somewhat bizarre by her cosmetic laser surgery, Greta's most annoying shortcoming is her fastidious adherence to her script--she follows it to the point of almost appearing to not listen to her guests. (She may be kept on a very short leash by producers who understand her limitations.)

She is not a natural questioner or moderator. She was fine as a casual commentator on criminal procedure during the OJ circus, but that was more salacious tabloid side show than serious news work.

What Daschle is proving is that to get away with truly audacious Clintonisms, you have to be a world-class liar. Tiny Tom is good, but not very. The same lines that Slick could get away with seem ridiculous when Tommy spouts them.

BTW, the reason the DNC continually flames racial division in this country is that if the African-American voting bloc ever got wise and figured out that the Rich White Democrats were playing them for patsies, Democratic candidates wouldn't stand a shadow's chance at being elected. I personally don't know any blacks who are anything but patriotic. When are they going to put two and two together?

Wasn't it Daschle and the other liberals who were shouting
that we shouldn't attack Iraq without "multi-lateral" approval? We went that route and the French obstructed us, lied to us, and stabbed us in the back. How is that Bush's fault? Daschle's logic is completely lacking.

When you think about it, Daschle isn't making a recommendation. What he is doing is criticizing Bush in order to make political points with the wacko-wing of the liberal party.

Have you noticed how contorted Daschle's face looks? He looks like a little demon from the prairies. I thought all that was grown in South Dakota was wheat, oats, and soybeans. And now I find out they also produce little demons or imps.

If John Thune can be convinced to run against Daschle in next year's election, there's a chance we can rid ourselves of the little demon from the prairies.
