BOMBING SEEMS TO HAVE BEGUN NEAR BAGHDAD, CHECK THIS WEBCAM, YOU CAN HEAR THE BOMBS IN THE DISTANCE
msnbc ^
Posted on 03/19/2003 6:32:45 PM PST by ranair34
It seems to have begun. Go to this link: http://www.msnbc.com/m/mw/mw.asp?t=V&id=live_video/chan1&sk=live_video&pl=&name=cover&opt=0 and turn up your volume. You can hear what sounds like planes (who knows, maybe its missles) flying overhead, then you hear what sounds like bombs going off in the distance. This just began about 10 minutes ago, it has been totally quiet.

Peter Arnett/NBC: Could be explosions on south side of city.
Don't forget, Baghdad is about the size of Chicago.

Iraqi intelligence is just probing the FR network response time. How many threads and how quickly can they cause to be posted, if they just razz the sirens for a minute?

I thought the opening salvo was supposed to be absolutely massive - - designed to stun everybody (and hopefully make somebody close to Saddam simply kill him and end the whole fiasco.)

The news reports are that the US had some information about the possible location of some Iraqi leaders. These missles might have had a very limited target.
