President just spoke and loved his statement "the military has the gratitude of the American people. Wants to protect civilian life. May our Heavenly Father protect President Bush and our troops, also our land of America and His special real estate, Israel.

Welcome to FR and to the Dose!

I've added Ian to the list. Would you care to share what branch of the military he serves in?

May God be with Ian and with you and all your family!

My prayer tonite for President & Mrs. Bush:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will

say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God,

in Him I will trust. Because you have made

the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High,

your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor

shall any plague come near your dwelling.

For He shall give His angels charge over you,

to keep you in all your ways.

Psalm 91

Rita Cosby saying that Saddam and/or one of his sons could have been hit tonight. They have been following 5 key leaders and one of those five- maybe more, were in the target.

I'm usually not a conspiracy theorist, but I was really doubting that the speech came from the Oval Office. I figured that the President was in a secure location, however some of these pictures show otherwise. That is comforting.

Did you notice the subtle way the flag is draped?

The Eagle is clutching the arrows (war).

Thanks for blessing us with the photos of President Bush on the Daily Dose. I was thinking about what a day in the life of President Bush has been like recently and it sure hasn't been dull.

He wakes up every morning to a new attack from the disloyal opposition, and has to deal with snotty reporters, Hans Blix, (the unspeakable) the UN and more importantly, our national security. His days have definitely been stressful but he seemed so calm and determined tonight.

So, I hope that our prayers do help him.

Here is the seal on the flag.

The arrows on the right represent war, the olive branches on the left represent peace.

I'm so glad my mom is with me - she and I couldn't even eat our supper tonight because we're nervous about this war starting. We are confident in our troops and their victorious end to this conflict.

But ... I do agree that it is great to have her here - and of course to be here with my FR family! I have errands to run tomorrow, so I won't be on here very late. I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight though ... LOL

The flag has been draped that way since 9/11/01 I believe. I think when Bush addressed the nation that night the flag had been turned that way and has stayed draped that way with the arrows in the talon ever since.

I told mother to call me ANYTIME day or night if she needs

to talk or just hear my voice. I remember on 9/11 when she was attending

my one aunt's funeral right in the town in PA where one plane went down.

She was stuck back there for three weeks, and I felt like I was grieving over losing HER!

Her twin sister died the next day, 9/12/01, in Philly.

Difficult week for our family. I'm just now still working through all the emotions of that week.
