I'd like to know why what the Pope has to say even matters at all when it comes to foreign policy. I don't suggest that he behave one way or the other. It's inconsequential to me,but obviously not to others.

That's just the point: It doesn't matter what the Pope has to say. He has no army. He can't create a trade embargo with fangs. He is making spiritual suggestions. And for you to take umbrage at those suggestions shows your ignorance. You are completely missing the context.

You know what? I'm sick and tired of having to be told that I'm ignorant because I and others point out that the Pope was dead wrong. Admit it, by not backing the members of the coalition, he undermined their efforts. Period. That's what we started out saying and that's what we continue to say now. I'm not going to continue arguing with you. Let's agree to disagree.
