About 20 people (most of the MSNBC audience) have already posted they saw Bob Arnot give the report live. So did I. What is suspect about it? He just said it 10 minutes ago. Do you think he's out there with a link to the Internet to file the story? What a dope. Sit down. The only thing suspect is your acuity.

This is a direct ping to myself and you. If this story is discredited, I'll expect your public apology.

Likewise, if this story is proven true, I will tender my public apology to you.

That said, I've lived through enough wars to know that the only thing that flies across the globe faster than a lie is a rumor. I do not believe my skepticism is unwarranted or wrong.

If it is a powder composed of spores, it would not be possible to do gram stain to ID the spore. Only if you plate the organism can you positively ID via microscopy.

I have to think the US military has labs stationed in forward positions.

Yeh. FOX had footage of Iraqi's surrendeing, and they had white papers(?) in their hands. I wondered what they were. I thought maybe they picked up the leaflets dropped by our planes. Scary.

On Fox this morning, one of the embedded reporters showed a "conscript card" that each Iraqi soldier had been issued.

The Iraqi soldiers were throwing them away and going home. He said they were finding them on the road.
