"Money for Schools, Not War!"

Is this just too clever a slogan? Money for me! Money for me! Me Me Me!

The simple solution is to expel these folks.

The simple solution would be to plug up the ventilation system and nerve gas the whole effing building. Then put the rest of the place to the torch.

We shouldn't be subsidizing treason.

They haven't learned it in 40 years, and I don't think anything has happened to make them any smarter.

"Money for Schools, Not War!"

Well, ahem, I have a PhD, tuition and stipend mostly funded by the federal government... and Kosovo and Bosnia both happened while I was getting my education. Somehow, I don't think it's an either/or proposition, as this young dim bulb seems to think.

Where do these college students get the time to protest? Was I the only one in college that had to work 40-50 hours a week in order to pay for college.

Thanks for that original Jefferson letter, RonF. I've always wanted to read the original.

"President Corrigan, if you think this war is an awful thing then do something about it. Pass an anti-war resolution," said Kirya Traber, 18, a freshman who addressed the crowd before leading protesters in a chant of "Money for Schools, Not War!"

And what exactly would an anti-war resolution accomplish, h'm, Miss Traber? Oh, wait. I know. It will make you feel better. As for money for schools rather than for war...that school isn't going to be much use to you if you're wearing a burka and forced to live indoors for the rest of your life. Or the school gets bombed by terrorists. Either way, you're screwed.

"Our first plan is to make people walk out of classes, because you can't continue with your daily lives while we're bombing innocent people," said freshman Iris Rowlee, a member of Students Against War.

How about we just bomb you, instead of the Iraqi military? Would you like that better? Rather have the Iraqi people live under a terrorist dictator, would you? Rather live out your life under the threat of terrorism, maybe?

You college students are so naive and ignorant of the sacrifices made that make it possible for you to live in freedom. Freedom isn't free. Not for you, not for anyone.

The Internet is just great for this kind of thing. I shudder at the job it must have been to enter in all of Jefferson's voluminous writings, though.

Proponents of various interpretations of our Founding Fathers' writings like to use quotes. It's very illuminating to read them in context.

I'm still waiting for a good argument from these freaks. Anything intelligent. That has to be the most exasperating thing. All I ever hear is the same old crap. The level of ignorance and idiocy amazes me.

The simple solution is to expel these folks. Only they are probably acting exactly as the college wants them to.

IMHO, that is correct.

I think that President Corrigan should do one better. I think that he should pass an anti-gravity resolution. We can't drop bombs on the Iraqis if there is no gravity. ;)
