I am not part of the fundraiser here. Just an ordinary American, who believes in individual Liberty, and Freedom.

I guess I've been around here for about 5 years or so now. Time sure flies!

When Jim Robinson started this site, it was because he was fed up with the liberal media, and how they would not let people worldwide know about the corruption of the Clinton Administration. A few of us, equally concerned, (with great luck) found it fast.

In the early days, FR was a day-to-day operation, always on the brink of bankruptcy. Jim kept on, and we chipped in when it became too much. We knew how important this site was, and is. Sometimes, it came down to the wire, and we wrote checks, and sent them in, as best we could.

Look at it now. We all get our best information from this site. It is huge, with thousands of posters, and millions of readers. Yet Jim still keeps it alive because of his conviction, and he is absolutely NOT making a profit on it. He just believes. As do we.

BTW, did you know that the founder of this site is in a wheelchair (sorry Jim; I know you think it doesn't make a r*ts a$$ difference. Hey, some folks out there need to come down a peg, like I have.).

Think of it! In the darkest days of the Clinton Administration, there was a lone internet site where people with integrity, brains, and sheer gumption could discuss the dangers faced by the US. Not on CNN, for sure.

Earthmovers like Drudge, Ann Coulter, Rush, WFBuckley, his brother, Savage, Buchanan, both houses of Congress (many) check in to see what we think.

The opposition checks it out, too. Like the NY times staff, CNN, etc. Trust me, they all come here to read. Even YOUR post. You know by now how they are whining about Rush? We're next, as soon as they figure out how they can trash this site without it getting a million hits.

I've been broke; I've been not broke. I've slept in my car. I know how it feels to be squeezed tight with bills. Folks with giant bills: You're not alone, and you have friends here. :)

If you love this site as much as I do, please, please sign up for automatic payment of just $3 per month. Don't be embarrassed if you think this is too little. It absolutely is not. The people there read us when they can, when they are “allowed” to, and are not being tortured. They flock to us, America, because they want to be free. Help us help them.

Thanks MonroeDNA for your good words. I discovered FR during the 2000 debacle and my education began. FR, coupled with FoxNews, is the salvation of America. If you think that's an overstatement, just consider where this country was - media wise - just a few years ago. I've just finished reading retired AF Buzz Patterson's "Dereliction of Duty" about his time in the Clinton WH as his military aide. If I didn't have the background learned at FR about Clinton, I wouldn't have believed his book. If you haven't read it, I suggest you do - it will scare the H*LL out of you and how close the Clinton's came to completely ruining this country. What we saw on 9/11 and even today are the results of the Clinton era. NEVER FORGET.

I echo MonroeDNA's suggestion to sign up for a monthly donation - no matter how small. Remember, with the success of President Bush, the LIEberals are getting more and more desperate. Desperate people do desperate things when cornered so we have to be prepared. We HAVE to keep FR up and running to counter any and all desperate acts of the anti-America left.

Thanks to the Good Freepers like you, Rotti Biz and Ed Reform, the monthly donor thing is catching on. The last Freepathon, we had a huge jump in monthly donors and $'s pledged. This Freepathon is headed in that direction.

One can only dream of the impact if at least 10% of Freepers were monthly donors. We are headed in the right direction.

You know, I saw some TeeVee news segment about how the war is "being fought on the Internet." They showed Jim Robinson speaking briefly - the only way I knew who he was was because "freerepublic.com" was taped to his monitor in the background. But that was AFTER they showed an extended segment of the (able bodied) founder of Moveon.org going to his computer and spewing his stuff. The report specifically MENTIONED "moveon.org" at least once and probably had it on the captionline as well. Unbiased, huh?
