It's Scott’

http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/SciTech/bodyfound030417.html

Missing Pregnant Woman’s Father Wants Husband Charged With Murder

April 17 — The father of missing pregnant woman Laci Peterson is not waiting for test results on a female torso and male fetus found on a San Francisco Bay-area beach to accuse his daughter's husband of murder.

"It's her husband Scott," Dennis Rocha said in a telephone interview with WBZ-TV in Boston. "He never looked me in the eye. And he never pleaded for her. He just shows no remorse."

Authorities are conducting tests to determine whether the torso and fetus found a mile apart on consecutive days are those of Laci Peterson, the 27-year-old Modesto, Calif., woman who disappeared on Christmas Eve, and her unborn son.

As Laci's family waits for the test results to return, her husband's whereabouts remain unclear. Scott Peterson, 30, a fertilizer salesman, hasn't surfaced publicly since the bodies were discovered.

Neighbors in the Modesto community where he and Laci lived have said they have not seen him in about a week. Modesto police previously said they do not know where he is, and now have no comment on his whereabouts.

Scott Peterson's relatives say they don't know where he is either. "What if Scott were here?" Scott's father, Lee Peterson, told reporters Tuesday at his house north of San Diego. "Is that a big deal?"

Scott Peterson told police he last saw Laci on the morning of Dec. 24 before he went fishing out of Berkeley Marina. Modesto police have said Scott is not a suspect in his wife's disappearance. But he has not been ruled out, either, especially by Laci's father. He believes Scott killed his daughter and unborn grandson and wants him charged with murder.

"That's what I want, some justice done here," Rocha told WBZ-TV. "I can't see Scott being out there free. That would just eat me up. It'll [the charges against Scott] happen very soon."

A high-ranking member of the investigation told ABCNEWS' Steffan Tubbs that police have many questions that only Scott Peterson can answer, and that even though the husband has not been labeled a suspect, a detective from the district attorney's office has been working side by side with investigators from the beginning. He is believed to be forming a possible case for prosecution.

DA Believes It’s Laci

Scott Peterson has acknowledged he was having an affair, but maintains he did not hurt his wife. Laci's family initially supported him, but after learning of the affair, they lost trust in him. Dennis Rocha suspects the affair was a motive in what happened to his daughter.

"They seemed like they got along real good," he said of his daughter and son-in-law. "Maybe Laci found out about the girlfriend or something."

Stanislaus County District Attorney James Brazelton told The Modesto Bee he believes the remains are those of Laci Peterson and her child.

"I feel pretty strongly it is [her]," he said."It's too much of a coincidence to have a female and a baby found close to each other a day apart, and no others were reported missing."

Yes CC, especially because of the location!!
Up until now, okay stand by your son. (tho she has overdone it to the point that SHE has made him look guilty, not that he needed any help!)
But NOW!!! If it were MY son, I would be asking him alot of questions and keeping my trap shut as far as the media is concerned...she has already has made herself look as loony as her sons actions!!
There was a guy a couple of days ago that charged an ump at a White Sox game here, and his mother was quoted in the paper today that she was ashamed of her son and did not condone his behavior...wishes to APPOLOGIZE to everyone for her son!
Hey, Jackie...stop making excuses for your MURDERING SON!!

vomiting can happen from head injuries

Vomiting can happen when realize you have murdered your wife and child.

I did hear that vomit was on the mop but there has been no word that I know of WHO"S vomit it was. My first thought was that he vomited after he killed her..nervous while hurridly trying to clean up and continue on with his premeditation to kill and dispose of her. Only when the time to carry out his plan had arrived..he had a little momentary setback..but got ahold of his sociopathic side and continued on...

I still say that the fact that Laci's family don't know where he is is very telling and just points the finger of guilt towards Snotty. If he were innocent, he would be on the phone or at their side 24-7 and would have been co-operating 100% to help with the ID of the bodies the bayhave given up.

Identification of body focused on Laci Peterson

News from my growing up hometown...;o)

Identification of body focused on Laci Peterson

Thursday, April 17, 2003

By DAVID KRAVETS

Associated Press Writer

RICHMOND -- The identification of two bodies found in San Francisco Bay is focused solely on whether it was Laci Peterson and the baby she was carrying, a state crime lab supervisor said Wednesday.

The lab is comparing DNA from Peterson and her parents with tissue and bone taken from the decomposed bodies of a woman and infant boy found earlier this week a mile apart on the rocky shoreline of this city east side of San Francisco.

"We don't have another person in mind," said John Tonkyn, a missing persons supervisor at the state crime lab.

Peterson, 27, a substitute teacher, vanished on Christmas Eve from her Modestao home, 90 miles southeast of Richmond. Her husband, Scott Peterson, said he last saw her as he left to go fishing that morning in Berkeley, not far from where the bodies were found.

The lab was analyzing cheek swabs taken from Laci Peterson's parents and hair from Laci Peterson's hairbrush. Those results will be compared with DNA from the bodies that were found.

When asked why they weren't using dental records, Tonkyn said the lab wasn't provided with teeth from the Contra Costa County Coroner's office.

"Sometimes not a full skeleton has been found," Tonkyn said.

Published reports have said the woman's body was headless. The full-term baby still had an umbilical cord attached.

If the woman's body is not identified as Peterson, the lab will begin comparing the samples with likely matches in a database of 100 DNA samples of other missing people or their relatives. The state has more than 25,000 active missing person cases.

The news conference came as Laci Peterson's family members remained sequestered in Modesto.

"There's no news, we're just waiting," said Ron Grantski, Laci Peterson's stepfather. "Until they confirm there really isn't anything."

Scott Peterson, 30, a fertilizer salesman, was nowhere to be seen in town. He hasn't surfaced publicly since the bodies were discovered Sunday and Monday.

While Laci Peterson's family issued a brief statement Tuesday, not a word has come from his camp. While his in-laws stood by him early in the investigation, a rift developed after he acknowledged having an affair with a Fresno woman and traded in his wife's Land Rover for a new pickup truck.

Scott Peterson has not been named as a suspect in his wife's disappearance, but police have seized his boat, truck and nearly 100 items from his house.

His father, Lee Peterson, told reporters Tuesday at his house north of San Diego that he didn't know where his son was.

"What if Scott were here?" he said. "Is that a big deal?"

The lawn in front of the house the couple shared was freshly cut Wednesday, but neighbors said someone had stopped by and cut it the night before. Scott Peterson hasn't been seen in the neighborhood for more than a week.

The property manager of the building where Peterson rented an office, who only identified himself as Mark, said Peterson moved out earlier this year and is trying to find someone to take over the lease for another six to eight months.

I was on another, but things weren't *heated* when I was there. I don't think they were at least. Sometimes I think the problem is not so much disagreements and flames as it is people taking them way too seriously, and not being able to leave them on the thread where they happened.

Where is Scott Peterson?

http://www.kron4.com/Global/story.asp?S=1238509

BAY AREA (KRON) -- Many people are wondering why the man who helped lead the search for his missing pregnant wife and poured out his heart on national television, seems to have dropped from sight recently. Scott Peterson hasn't been seen in the usual places, and friends and family who often knew his whereabouts aren't talking.

If Peterson's attorney, Kirk McAllister, knows where Scott is, he emphatically isn't saying. He brushed by reporters without comment Wednesday except to say he was on his way to court.

A phone answering machine at the home of Scott Peterson's sister, Susan Caudillo refers media calls to the Laci Hotline. A woman answering the Laci Hotline takes a message but says the family will not be returning calls. Curiously, it's the same answering service woman that takes calls to Scott Peterson's warehouse headquarters for his agricultural chemical business. And the message is the same.

If the Modesto Police have an idea where Scott Peterson is, and you might think they would, they're keeping it to themselves. At a news conference Tuesday, Detective Doug Ridenour said, "I don't know where Scott Peterson is and if I did, I couldn't tell you."

For quite a while after Laci Peterson disappeared, Scott wasn't hard to find. He'd show up daily at the volunteer search headquarters to help work the phones. Or he could be found working around the Modesto house he and Laci shared.

Even when reporters and camera crews filled his street Scott came and went at will.

But today, although the grass looked freshly cut, neighbors say the house has looked abandoned lately.

Neighbor Cory Emerson described the house as "very quiet, no cars there, don't see any movement. Obviously, the yard is getting done, but don't know by who."

Out at the edge of town, a spokesman at the Del Rio Golf Course country club told KRON 4 News that Scott had sold his membership.

In San Diego, camera crews have been staking out the home of Peterson's parents, but no one has reported seeing Scott. A sister there told a television news reporter that Scott was not in San Diego.

Laci Peterson's dad doesn't know where Scott is either, but he hopes the police do.

"That's what I want is some justice done here. I can't see Scott being out there free and that would just eat me up. It'll happen, very soon," he says.

I hope they DNA test the babe against Scott P. Somehow I don't see a man killing his wife and baby over an affair on his part. But if he found out the baby was not his, that would be a strong motive for murder.

Greta asked how many boats launch from the Berkeley boat ramp. I heard four boats launched on 12/24 but using these tickets (dates and transaction numbers) we can get an idea of the average daily usage. Less than two per day and that little boat would stand out like a sore thumb. In twelve days only 21 boat launches. Why didn't anybody see him?

I belive the baby is Scotts. I just think this guy was leading a double life and HE decided he would rather collect money than be a responsible husband and father. Laci clearly had NO clue that she was "not" happily married. He's murdering SCUM. I know they will get rich DNA samples from the unbilical cord and I also believe they will get a DNA profile on Laci from the cortex of the bone. LE need to following that creep RIGHT NOW. I'm convinced he's in a state of self-preservation panic. *burn baby burn* is all I can say to SNOTT.
