He needs to be raped with a broomstick and toilet plunger a few times and then he'll talk without making such arrogant demands. That seems a bit excessive.....
You break him like that and then you learn nothing from him, he becomes a bithering idiot. There is a fine line for such things................

I agree, Aziz is a perfect match for the duplicitous French.
BTW, Why do I think of Groucho Marx when I see Aziz?
To: Pokey78
What the heck are they talking about?
He is OURS.....and it's not negotiable.
I believe this article is partly BS.
At least I know this statement
Aziz, who gave himself up on Thursday, is the most senior Saddam aide caught so far.
is more than likely NOT true.

Does anybody know if it's safe to believe any of this? There are an awful lot of "insiders" and "sources" quoted, but not many verifiable facts. I read this... Desperate Aziz made his demands as CIA chiefs quizzed him at a PoW camp...
...and I wonder, "How the hell do they know what went on in a CIA interrogation room at a POW camp?" What, they have embedded reporters following intelligence agents around? A rogue CIA agent called up the Sun in London and spilled the beans? Has anybody seen another source reporting any of this? |

Think of a place far from the madding crowd . . ."Far from the madding crowd's ignoble strife." I see, you want him dead.

On a side note, no more Fisk. The Indepenent has made all Fisk articles a pay feature. So, one last time:

I don't get why he wants to come here. We have a huge Iraqi exile community that will want his head on a platter.

The guy spilling his guts would be marvelous, but if he is a criminal giving him a pass is simply not possible, even if we otherwise wished to cut the deal. The guy simply has too many kleig lights upon him.

The Independent has made all Fisk articles a pay feature.Fisk would pay for a good beating, so his readers should pay for Fisk.

The schemer has told his US captors he will reveal all about the Iraqi regime in exchange for a new identity and cushy life here. Hmmmmmm! Personally, I have no problem with this. However, this guy better be willing and able to "shock and awe" us with his information.

If there are people who want to pay for Fisk, all I can say is, I'm glad I don't know them. ;)

Fisk's first article under the new pay system is:
Robert Fisk: Did the US murder these journalists? With a juicy headline like that, I started to reach for my credit card. hehe

Here is a nice island home for him in Britain. I am certain that everyone here will not hold it against him and allow him an exile on this wonderul location:

Okey-doke, we make a deal with him. We give him an hour to tell us EVERYTHING he knows or we turn him loose in the middle of Baghdad . . . after telling all those who have murdered loved ones where and when he'll be turned loose.
That's our deal, Tariq.
