Would our nation be better off if federal spending was a function of population and not a elected political function?
Curruption and abuse of power would be curtailed by population. And highly populated areas would get more money. Less robust areas would recieve less money.
Trying to support onion farmers in upstate New York and Dry land wheat farmers in North Dakota would end.
While some real government help/money would flow to areas that have people and jobs.
In time people would vote with their feet. Go where the money flows to and talented people who want open space can live free of goverment money.
Hillery is in the ackward area of New York that has taxed out manufacturing and supported farms to the point of not farming.
