I stand corrected, that is one hell of a beating and over the line.

Aside from that, you gotta love how the prosecuter diminishes the child behavior. Like he just stumbled into a peice of paper by accident and it ripped. Sounds like the kid deserved a good spanking, but not one that resulted in what is described in this article.

You know, you make a point. At one time, her immediate community would have put pressure on her PRIVATELY so as not to undermine her authority with her child. It's a tough call though when things left unattended like this can lead to a child's demise in some cases.

"If you have a source which backs up your claim that 80% of all CPS charges are false, please link me to it. I'd like to see those numbers."

From an article on CPS Watch.....

Tolle Whiteside said 107,000 cases of alleged abuse or neglect were investigated last year (in North Carolina). Only about 30 percent of cases are substantiated and about 10 percent of those, 3,000 to 5,000, result in courts removing children from their homes, she said.(Jennifer Tolle Whiteside, is the executive director of Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina)

I had heard 80% also but this 70% is all I could find....

You're convientantly focusing on the welts and pretending you didn't read about the lacerations.

My mom will be 90 on her next birthday, if the country had been over run with this insanity when I was a kid, she would still be on probation.

Hey, that's okay.

I couldn't swing that paddle very hard, actually, I think my husband gave it to me because I wasn't very intimidating otherwise! LOL

spank with the hand, and alsways behind closed doors
today it is too emotional for outsiders, they cannot accept this.
Perhaps there is too much freedom in Texas?
