A follow up on Thursday's tragic events at Porta farm -- after security forces used brutal force to demolish the homes of about 12,000 people.
Zim's slums resemble battle scenes - Mugabe said afterwards that the demolitions had been planned well in advance -- So this bastard admits he planned his second genocide, of rural blacks, before he committed his first genocide, against whites and the taking of white farms.

Zimbabwe -- Cathy Buckle -- Under a bush -- As I sit here on a very cold winter morning in Zimbabwe writing this letter the first Live 8 music concerts are underway. I do not have any hope whatsoever that even one dollar of the money raised there will go to a woman and three children who are living under a bush in a freezing Marondera winter.

Good Intentions Often Go Bad In Africa -- There's one common factor in Africa's history of despotic mismanagement: socialism." There is tribalism as well, and it contributes mightily.

Africa: Lords of poverty wait to cash in on aid millions -- Don't these people EVER learn? There are two problems here: #1 the money doesn't belong to Blair or Bush, and #2 you cannot help people who are unable or unwilling to help themselves.

Rush Limbaugh: Africa Needs Capitalism, Not Good Intentions -- The celebrities who performed at the Live 8 concert were given goodie bags of expensive watches and clothes and other things worth up to $12,000 for taking some of their valuable time to "increase awareness" of the plight in Africa. I'll bet not a single one of them looked at the gifts and said, "Thank you, but I would much rather you gave the money tot he poor people of Africa."

Nice concert. But can it really save millions from dying? -- just another buncha leftist swill, designed to foment hate among the youth for america, because Bush isn't doing what their infantile emotions demand.

Guilt isn't solution to Africa's woes
-- Throwing money at Africa is the same as throwing the efforts of hard-working American taxpayers down the proverbial rat hole. If Bush, Blair and the other G8 leaders REALLY want to do something constructive in Africa, they will send in their combined militaries to root out the likes of Robert Mugabe and other African dictators, socialists and thieves who wreck their countries, starve and murder their people and then blame the rest of the world for their problems.

Zimbabwe -- Cathy Buckle -- A Silence Spreading Over the Land -- I wonder if this will be the last winter of discontent. If I did not see my own words in black and white I would not believe that such things could have happened or that our prosperous country and her wonderful people could have endured such horrors.
