New website for the black Rush Limbaugh running for Congress is up. See www.robinsonforcongress.com

Posted on 06/01/2003 9:45:49 PM PDT by ConservativeGadfly

Here's an excerpt from www.robinsonforcongress.com:

The Democrat Party today is comprised of the Old Left, the New Left, and the What's Left, and I'm proud to say my voting record has infuriated them all:

the gun grabbers,

the militant homosexuals,

the environmentalist granolas,

the globalists who worship at the alter of the United Nations,

the pro-abortionist fanatics,

the radical feminists,

the burned-out hippie peaceniks,

the socialists posing as journalists and college professors,

the animal rights extremists,

the union bosses (especially the teachers unions),

the high priests and priestesses of political correctness,

the government bureaucrats,

the tax-and-spend junkies,

the racial agitators,

the Hollywood elitists.

Alderman Robinson has some competition in the primary, so it isn't an automatic, but we're all pulling for him. I had hopes that we were going to send the one-two punch of Lynette Boggs-McDonald in NV and now State Rep. Jennifer Carroll in FL last year to succeed J.C., (and to a lesser extent, Buster Soaries in NJ in what SHOULD be a GOP seat, although he's a bit more "moderate"), but it was not to be. This Congress was the first since 1989 that went without a African-American GOP member, and hopefully it will be the last.

I hope this man is for real! His litany of what he is against and for is telling it like it is; wonderfully direct. We need more of this kind of straight talk!

Folks, do yourselves a big favor and read his "Issues" page:

CLICK ME

This man understands the issues! We need him in the national spotlight.

Um, what do you think of this regarding movie ratings:

I propose that we use a rating of T for "Treason."

He may get elected but more cockamamie ideas like this and he won't be taken seriously.

Yes, it's a cockamamie idea (like that needs to be said.)

Yes, that's tongue-in-cheek funny and not a great idea on a serious level, but that's about the only thing out of all the issues he listed. How about the rest of it? What else do you have a problem with?

I just dipped into the "Hollywood elite" issue (like that is one) and the "feminization of the military" issue. Will have to go back and see more. Truth, he doesn't stand a chance rolling back women's advances in the military and I don't agree with it either. But again, even if he did include the "T for treason" as "tongue-in-cheek" (and I don't think he did), that's nossogood. It undermines the other seriousness. Bad idea. But I think he did mean it, and in that case, my original point rests.

I agree the "T" issue is not a good idea and his rollback on the feminization of the military has little hope (but has some merit in combat situations) but I tend to agree with about 95% of what he stands for. Since I can't vote for him anyway I guess it's a moot point, but I would like to see him get some national experience. He sounds better than some of the RINO's we currently have representing us.
