Someone fairly clever could build a flash bulb into a license plate light fixture, and cannibalize a cheap used slave flash for the other circuitry and photocel. The flash bulbs in those pocket digital cameras are very tiny, and would fit next to the ordinary license plate light.

Just get a Wein hot shoe slave and put it on an old flash. If you really want to get fancy, wire the flash so it is powered off the car's battery. A Wein hot shoe slave can be had for under $10. An old cheap flash can be bought on ebay for a few bucks more. If someone wanted to really get fancy they could hook up the slave sensor to some high output LEDs and mount it all into a license plate bracket.

How's about spreading Crisco on plate, or axle grease. Is it only the front plate? eh

The gov't will most likely require GPS in cars, tied to responders, that in urban areas will track every vehicle, and measure speeds. "Ticket's in the mail". Like they do now on some Easy-Pass toll roads.

Well, the Turtle Beach Video Advantage has 1394 input to allow burning your DV video to a dvd. Also for composite video and s-video, plus audio. USB ports, also.

Do these countermeasures show up on the video cameras that are installed in police cars? For example, I'm cruising along the interstate and a cop pulls up behind me, will he be able to look at the viewfinder on his in-car video cam and be able to tell if I have countermeasures?
